Great video Peter! Learn something new everyday, because I never knew the rear blinds were power blinds on these DW 400 series. At least it saves you some more twisting and turning! Thanks for this great video - stay safe.

Thank You - guess they have to be power blinds at the rear, no access to get to them to change them manually!

nice and informative video mate! 121 used to be my local back when i lived in north london, now my arriva locals are 160, 269 and B15. also i didn’t know 269’s buses have manual blinds😱

Apparently route 307 will go to E garage sometime next year and will get enviro 400 mmc 10.9 buses which is a relief😊 is this true?
@BristolRE4 жыл бұрын
No, it's not true. Metroline have gained the two year extension so it's not due for a new contract until late 2023.

I find it odd that London still dosent use LED destination displays like almost every other city in the developed world now. One of those little oddities.

They are looking in to it, though I still prefer traditional blinds, they photo better if nothing else!

Nice video Peter. Which DW do you like to drive more🤔 is the DW500 buses or the DW400. Personally like the DW400 buses more because it has a powerful engine and I thin bus under DW400 buses have powerful engines too. Again nice ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👍

The later 400 series I think it starts from the 440s they do the automatic blinds but what confuses me is the early 400 series they got manual blinds and yet the later 400 series have got automatic blinds but they were both just about made in the same year so don’t you actually find it weird
@BristolRE4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, not sure why
@nathanw97704 жыл бұрын
I think it's because the 400 series differ between the 11 plates and 61 plates, so maybe the automatic blinds were introduced in the late 2011 models.
@auntmissedperiod4 жыл бұрын
Mr. Wray160 DW432 is an 11 plate though

@Knightyknight724 жыл бұрын
@@BristolRE Certainly our manual blinded TEs at EW are manual all round with opening compartments on the side for "via" and "number" blinds and "number" at the rear. The front ones have an orange perspex window to look through with a system of three mirrors for destination and three mirrors for number.
