@@JuarezDerrick 😂 I thought the same thing the first time I went back as an adult. (Used to go through to AZ as a kid to visit family, White Sands, etc.). It was in August when I saw the billboard for it along the highway and caught: ICE CAVE and Bandera Volcano, Grants, NM, Take Exit (?). I HATE the heat and immediately pulled over to find out about it since it sounded mental in that heat. Sooooo worth the extra drive past my turn to CO for the experience!! If you haven’t been, check out Chain of Craters too (But have a good vehicle for off-roading if you go in CoC, there’s even warning signs they will not rescue you if you choose to enter & get stuck 😳. My BMW sport handled it like a champ and even helped a 4x4 truck out that was stuck lmaooo). It’s freaky and AMAZING. As we pulled in with morning temperatures already in the 90s °F (33s °C), we noticed what looked like dew on the bluish grass. I got out and put my hand on the ground. It was completely frozen! It was over 110°F (43°C) by the time we got to the ice cave part and my sister practically had to drag me out!

Great video! I love your reactions. I disagree with this list, and I may be biased because I live in Colorado, but here we go. First off, the videos for Breckenridge & Aspen both had shots of both mixed into both videos. They also mixed in shots of Vail around Christmas, which is also gorgeous, but the AI editor of the video definitely made some mistakes. I lived in Aspen for many years, and I would ski over 100 days a year along with many other locals. Aspen is magical during the holidays, and the skiing at the 4 resorts is amazing. I could go on and on. I lived in a lot of resort towns around Colorado and have visited a lot of other places on this list, Park City, Jackson, Sun Valley, etc... I strongly disagree with that tiny resort in NH as number 1. That is 1000% false! I'll leave it at that. Lastly, since you love Christmas so much, search Leavenworth, Washington Christmas on KZbin. Your mind will be blown. I think you could make a whole video just on that town. There isn't skiing right in town, but there's plenty of skiing in the area. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help. Cheers!

Lew I love you man! { I'm sure you know this because i comment to most every video you do} I was skiing in Breckenridge one day when the wind chill was -34f. When you live in Colorado and have been many places you know to dress for the worst possible conditions. Not to mention it is physically demanding and the biggest factor is when you are skiing you will start to sweet. As soon you stop when it's this cold is you can quickly become hypothermic if your garments are wet. Skiing this kind of terrain is no joke. I was once caught in a tree well and thought I was going to die when someone came along and helped me out of it. No doubt one of the best things you can ever experience, and at the same time, so many things can go wrong! People hit frozen trees and die instantly if they hit they're heads, tree wells and accidentally skiing out of bounds where there are no lifts and nobody knows where you are. I've only seen the first few, but imagine Colorado will be mentioned 3 or 4 times because of Steamboat Springs, Vail, Aspen, A basin and the list goes on.

I live in what they call the High Desert in southern california, and right now the weather is clear and sunny with 32 degrees at night and 70 degrees for the daytime. Mind you summer is 110 degrees day time and low 90's at night. So seasons do make the weather forecast around here. Mind you spring is the best time around here when it is about 80 degrees day time and 70 degrees night time, spring is not to hot and not to cold. But spring flash floods can be common and with the flash flood comes rattlesnake warnings for them floating in the flooding water.

For a beginner I recommend Colorado or Utah. Only because of the powdered snow. That makes it easier to learn skiing. I’m a polar bear, but I get cold especially on a chair lift. So layer up. Wear reflective goggles or sunglasses because it’s BRIGHT. Definitely spa for a beginner. After a lesson you feel it, like the day after gardening the first time. Have to try Tubing, cross country skiing (exhausting) and sleigh rides. Don’t forget the apres drinks. Yum.

I’ve visited and stayed at several of these resort areas in the summer. If you don’t ski there is less to do in the winter than in the other seasons and if you fly in the winter, you take a chance of getting snowed in or snowed out. The Rocky Mountains are stunning when snow topped but always a sight worth seeing any time of the year. Start saving or take up some offers to stay as the costs to travel add up quickly.

Our son lives in Colorado and works on the ski resorts . He comes back to Wisconsin for the winter months and travels otherwise. Hes a really outdoorsy guy and has a place out there but its incredibly expensive to expensive to live there. If you want to spend time at the resorts bring plenty of money

I grew up skiing/racing and then was a ski bum for a few years after college. I don't go nearly as much anymore, but I have at least 1,200 days on the mountain.

My wife and I both got into skiing quite a few years ago and pretty much. Every person that we have as a friend has skied. There is another beautiful ski resort that this video didn't mention and it's called Steamboat Springs. I imagine it because it's great and it had all of the same things that the others they just showed you have.

Very nice video! I'm born and raised in the US and had only heard of a few of those places, so thanks also for the info. As far as skiing, I've done that on and off as a kid and started snowboarding as a teenager. The only thing they have in common is that you can do them on the same slope. ;) These places all look nice, although there's a lot of places in the UK I'd also like to check out. Out here I think Dollywood and Aspen are the 2 I'd recommend the most. Hope you get the chance to check them out!

Come to Breckenridge! The Santa race & dog parade is awesome, all held before the annual Christmas tree lighting on the same day. It's coming up in just a couple of weeks! And you are absolutely right. It's really "Christmasey" here. Just this holiday season we plan to do the holiday train ride in nearby Leadville, Santa visits & fireworks for another nearby town, Frisco's annual tree lighting, just to name a few things. We live in nearby South Park area (yes, that South Park) and it's simply magical especially this time of the year. Last but not least, people are nice and friendly. We absolutely love these small mountain towns and you'll love it, too!

I lived in Yuma, Arizona, on the Mexico border. With a temperature of 115 degrees, I could leave there and drive to Flagstaff, Arizona, which would be below freezing. It has to do with the elevation. Flagstaff is above 5000 feet and it would have snow in late May to June.

I love to ski and learned in middle school when I joined the Ski Club back in the late 70s. This was in south central PA (Ski Roundtop). Since then I've enjoyed skiing at much better locations, including the Austrian Alps, Vermont, Lake Tahoe, and Mammoth. We lived in Phoenix and I would have liked to have gone to Snow Bowl and the southernmost ski park outside Tucson, but it never happened. I highly recommend having a lesson or two regardless of whether you ski or snowboard. It's a very alien feeling the first couple times!
