I cry every time i hear it, her rendition is superb, soulful and highly emotional, like a good opera aria, I het to see her Sunday night here in Prescott, AZ..I'm 63, first heard Dark Side of the moon when I was 13 in 74..........still one of my all time top 5 bands ever.

I was at Brit Floyd in Little Rock June 02 , 2023. It was Awesome that night. Song “The Great Gig In The Sky” was one of my favorites with solo female Eva Avila. The entire show was incredibly Superb!!! Thanks for a Great Show and Fans as well!! Peace ✌

I saw Roger Waters at Madison Square Garden recently, and he’s a stickler to have the band play note for note, just like the album. These guys play EXACTLY like the album too. I will see them when they come to the NYC area next time!

Saw them yesterday and they had one of the original backup singers from the Floyd her name is Durga I forget her last name anyways she was supposed to sing with this singer on the great gig and the sound went out on this singer I think her name is Eva? So the first half of the song was inaudible and when the sound came back and Durga came on the sound ce back and both were singing and it was glorious to bad the first half of is was missed due to technical difficulties.😞

Yes, her name was Eva. She had a fantastic voice on Great Gig. I was at the Little Rock Show.

@@jddavis7683 Yes I saw them last year. But could not remember her name, she sounds almost like the original singer. Surprisingly the venue was not sold out and they upgraded our seats which was a plus. This is the first time that I have seen this all the other concerts of them that I have attended have been sell outs

Claire supplied the magnificent raw vocal material, next PF turned her singing into what it is in this song, and Eva is able to sing this song to perfection live over and over again. She gets the shivers across time after time, something Claire couldn't do.
