Man, I have listened to so many variations and covers of this song in my 52 years on the planet, this woman or we will say LADY, in my books, not only has the best vocal version of this song other than the original, but has the emotional content to bring that feeling out of your chest and heart, to put a tear in your eyes and really make you believe you are floating around in the real GREAT GIG IN THE SKY. I don't know who you are but your talents are better than planet earth and you deserve to be in the heavens.

From someone who has listened to this album hundreds of times since it's release in '73, the previous Brit Floyd singer, Angela Cervantes, was even closer to being note-for-note to the original. After such a long passage of time for this song, I wouldn't doubt Eva Avila deliberately/slightly put her own spin on it, which I certainly can't fault.

Interesting approach. Many singers like to bring their own melody to this. Instead Eva copied the original melody almost note for note (especially in the A section), but instead brought her own passion to it in an undeniable way that words can't quite describe. It's a winning move. Masterful performance.

To further explain, I saw Pink Floyd on their Momentary Lapse of Reason and Division Bell tours and have seen Roger Waters 4 times and your rendition of this song was better than all of their singers! I have a very good ear for music and know this song very well and you absolutely nailed it. There were people literally crying, myself included, it was so beautiful. No bs. Ive been lucky enough to see brit Floyd 4 times in GR, Michigan. They absolutely perform highly authentic, near to near identical, and sound incredibly good, there gear is incredible, the setup and light show. Everytime they do great gig in the sky it absolutely rocks the house, not for note absolutely incredible talented women! Rock on.
