I live on the same land as my parents and my son does all the yard work and he has 5 acres to maintain. Big surprise our yard is kinda small where we live. My Aunt who lives next door has ten acres she cuts every week, but she owns about 35 acres. *FUN FACTS!* The United States is so large, that it's really about the same size as Canada in total area. Canada in fact is just 1.5% larger than the US in total area. (Despite looking much bigger on a flat map) However, the US actually has more total land area than Canada. Wild! LOL! 😉 Also, the US is so big that if you were to try and place the lower 48 states on the Moon, its west and east coasts would stretch partly around the Moon in order to fit. This is because the diameter of the Moon is 2,159 miles wide. The lower 48 States are just over 2,800 miles in comparison. (Imagine adding in Alaska now) The US is so big, that you could fit the 27 countries that make up the European Union inside of the United States. That last one is a bit misleading. The Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario “metro area” is actually a census district, it’s not a continuous metro area like the London metro area or the New York metro area would be. There’s huge gaps of empty areas between those three cities of Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ontario.
@bobtheduck2 жыл бұрын
I was born in one of those gaps... Depending on the source, either Adelanto or Apple Valley (I'm adopted and birth records get screwed over a bit)
@johnmaster37482 жыл бұрын
What are you defining as a "huge gap"? Driving from downtown Riverside or downtown San Bernardino to downtown Ontario is 20-30 minutes, with small towns in between. Gaps there may be...but huge? Given the scale of the open space in Riverside County and San Bernardino County east of the census district you described, the gaps inside the census district are miniscule. Leaving aside the quibble over the gaps, your description of the metro area/census district as including the three cities is a useful corrective to the video which seemed confused about distinguishing the counties from the cities they are named for. The Inland Empire metro area includes the western portions of those two counties and the eastern bits of LA county. The real huge gaps are east of the Inland Empire.

San Bernardino County is always competing for the top spot as the WORST run county in the United States. It includes the SB mountain region that is gorgeous. It is interspersed with some very wealthy areas but is mostly very economically depressed. It is environmentally atrocious due to the smog that settles at the base of the SB mountains. In total the LA, OC, RC, SB and SD combined is one MASSIVE metro area that would blow your mind if you were to see it. It is one giant contiguous mass of wall-to-wall houses, business, roads, freeways and people. In total, about 25-30 million people

States like Alaska and Wyoming are indeed larger in size, but by population they are much smaller. Wyoming is the most sparsely populated state of the U.S. with only 520,000 people living there, and where livestock outnumbers humans by two-to-one. Alaska has a slightly larger population then Wyoming, with around 678,000 people, but has the least population density with only one person per square mile.

No one lives in Alaska. Jacksonville doesn’t count because they combine the county and city. Houston is the largest city in area that isn’t a city/county consolidation.

1.1K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍. Thanks for the fun and informative video! 😎🖖 Notes! My condolences about your poor dog, Waurik. 😢😥😓 Oops! You refered to a rectangle state as a square one again. 😁 For people with sleep disorders as I have, a long drive of 30 mile or so, there and back, can be a hassle, let alone 100 miles! Before I knew that I had a sleep disorder, I thought that boredom and monotony explained why I was so drowsy on the return drives, during the two separate decades that I commuted out of the county. Oklahoma City, I knew about, because it was once listed in the, "Guinness Book of World Records". It is the county seat of, Oklahoma County, as well as our state capitol. Oddly enough, if you're on North I-35, as opposed to, South I-35, you will cross the city limits line for, Oklahoma City, before you cross the the county line for, Oklahoma County! So those city police cars, aren't out of their jurisdiction as you might think, when tempted to speed by one that's waiting for you to be a scofflaw. 😉 If you're into boat travel, or in some parts, a ship can be used, you can leave a port city in our state, and if you go south, make a big loop around a big chunk of the nation, and return to the port, from the other direction. Ditto, should you attempt the voyage by going the northern route, but you will return from the southern side. That also means that you could come sail or steam from England to Oklahoma! 😎

Washington DC. Is located where it is bc of civil war.prior it had been NYC. After the war the south want the cap moved. Seeing how we hadn't gone across Appalachia mountains going straight down put capt in middle of country

I live in San Bernardino County I was born and raised in the city of Upland California at San Antonio Hospital. We do refer to this as the IE it is the inland empire it’s comprised of many different cities the main ones being San Bernardino city which is the capital of San Bernardino county Ontario city and Riverside although Riverside is considered to be part of riverside county its subsidiaries corona Eastvale and someone or not. San Bernardino county covers a large area for my house in Upland to my grandmother‘s house in the high desert in Yucca Valley it is a bell 110 miles which is also the same distance from Upland to San Diego. Which is in a totally different county. In Cember Dino county I believe we can have him death Valley. Which is considered to be one of the hottest places in America and I think one of the hottest places on earth. The coolest thing about living in the city of Upland is that we’re right along the foothills Mount Baldy been a Upland primary source of fun for anybody who’s lived in Upland that’s a place where most of us go to hang out we traveled the road hang out at the turn outs on the little hills and overlook the city views on good days we can see all the way to Los Angeles downtown Los Angeles and an even better days we can even see out to the beach from the tip of GMR which is Glendora mountain road off of the city of Mount Baldy more of a town Mount Baldy town. In Upland to Mount Bali it is about 20 miles-ISH. This takes about 15 minutes to drive and I’ll tell you what it’s a beautiful drive is Forestt there’s a small farm and a fire station at the base and it continues over to a beautiful town surrounded by massive pine trees. There is what we call the bridge to nowhere which is a bridge further in the mountain that leads to nowhere massive steel structure. From Upland to downtown Los Angeles is about 37 to 40 miles which takes about an hour to drive with traffic and for most of us it’s a daily commute from Upland to FedEx where I work in Chino is about 7 miles downhill I live on 17th St. and Euclid in the city of Upland and FedEx is on Merrill Street down Euclid on the way towards FedEx I passed a Mormon monument which is called the Euclid Trail towards downtown Ontario passing the old dairy farms two new warehouse construction. Fun fact all of this region at one point was considered to be where I believe it is over 80% of the United States citrus was from it’s called the citrus bloom so many trees of oranges lemons even grapes will grapevines once populated most of this region up until I believe the 60s or the 50s when there was a major frost that wiped out most of the trees was when the cities began to actually develop into what they are today. I guess the next biggest city in San Benito county is now Rancho Cucamonga which is three cities that became Inc. to one it was The city of Etiwanda, Cucamonga, and Alta Loma. I would look up this region and research it and look in the past and just dive in San Marino county gets a lot of bad rap for it being one of the most dangerous counties or dangerous cities but I’ll tell you at Upland is the nicest it gets west to Los Angeles before becoming over priced the homes you’re beautiful the community is lovely there’s absolutely no danger and it’s full of rich history. Respond if you read this take a look at what Upland and the city of Ontario have to offer it really just dive in

Luka, just for the record, Wrangell, Alaska, is pronounced 'RANG-gul', rather 'rang-GELL'. San Bernardino is a city in the county of the same name. Speaking of geography, have you ever watched a video by Geography King?
