The best logistics company in the world is the USAF. When people think logistics they think of Amazon 2-day delivery. When nations think of logistics, they think of moving entire CONUS bases to anywhere in the world in a matter of weeks. Anyone who has forward deployed knows what "deployment" means. It's not just ride a plane to combat. It's literally get all your shit, load it on rails, and ship it to port or the airfield. Entire bases empty out. Or even think of it this way. During the Iraq invasion, we needed to downsize in Iraq and upsize in Afghanistan. There are no "ports" or oceans to traverse to move that material. So, what does the US do? We task the USAF of performing the largest airlift in history. Moving divisions worth of material and manpower in the air, and into a completely different theater. Task any "civilian" company with that and they wouldn't even have the proper equipment or "connections" to move a battalion size. And we are moving entire divisions/bases at will and without consequence. Let's put it this way. The numbers aren't in the US' favor (never have been). But what is in our favor is being able to drop the right amount of man and material literally ANYWHERE in the world, and no one can do anything about it. The skies will be clear and the oceans open. The world is essentially the US' military's oyster. We can go anywhere we want with defying speed, precision, and quantity.

Come discharge you won't know that the chunk of whatever that was removed from your leg and all it says is the cut is healing well. Then it starts bothering you and you discover that a piece is still in there but your records have no mention of the injury or what was removed. Same goes for shots, things you inhaled like smoke from fires, etc etc. These records seem to hardly ever make it to your records. There are warehouses full of records stored by years and branches waiting to be either searched for or finally making it to the correct file.

To add to what you said, the combined number of active and reserve soldiers in the entire world is around 60 million. That is all nations combined. There are 82 million gun owners in the United States who own half of all the guns in the entire world at a little under half a billion guns. Those are again just the US civilian numbers that does not include how many guns the military has. In addition, we always lie about our capabilities and undersell them, whereas many other countries are always over-selling what they can do. In 2021, we told everyone the SM6 has a max range of 150 miles. Before in that, same year hitting a target over 250 miles away with that missile. They mentioned that F-15 being an expensive air dominance fighter craft, they don't mention the fact that it has a perfect service record with 104 kills and no constant losses. That's including all of our export models as a lot of those kills come from Israel's Air Force. With F-35 IIs, we have 302 of them delivered so far. With another 1700 still in production for the United States. Over 1,600 have been produced so far and we've prioritized letting many other countries have them, as this is a joint strike fighter. When it talked about drones, They did not mention the fact that we're currently working to field fighter unmanned drones as wing men to the F-35s. And we've developed ones that hang out on the bottom of the ocean floor monitoring for hostiles. We have fewer warships than some nations, but if you look at them by displacement which measures the size of the vessels, we have more than triple the next closest. We've focused on fewer but larger ships We have many fewer artillery pieces because we've focused on accuracy, being able to hit single targets much more reliably, rather than just bombarding the whole area. We sent 30 of those HIMARS over to Ukraine and they have been absolutely dominating Russia. And we just started production of a new variant with Rheinmetall in Europe that has twice as many missiles called the GMARS. This didn't talk about the fact that our Navy is capable of striking satellites and incoming missiles of all types with missiles launched from boats. All of this to say, just like the video said from the beginning, the numbers do not tell the whole story, and there is so much more to the power of the US military than the raw numbers.
@srice89594 ай бұрын
@@tikityler1386 You’re 100% spot on in everything you said! An also like you were talking about our navy’s Displacement is so true. I Don’t Remember the exact amount of Tonnage our naval ships have, but it’s either triple or close to triple the tonnage of China, and an another couple of things is we have more aircraft carriers than the rest of the world combined same goes for our aircraft carrier strike groups. Another very important thing is as of now no other nation has the logistics to invade America either. Just take WW2’s D-Day invasion and how much logistics, Naval, and Air power it took to invade mainland Europe from the UK. From England to Normandy was less than 100 miles away. Considering the amount of logistics, Men, Equipment it took just to cross the English Channel compared to our enemies on the opposite side of the Pacific Ocean to get enough Ships, Men, Equipment, and Aircraft just to set up a beach head on the west coast would be impossible an a bit insane too even try it. Also it’s truly impossible for them to make it all the way across 5,000+ miles of open ocean without a true Blue Water Navy an to get here without our Submarines, Surface Ships, Spotter Planes, Spy Satellites, and our allies not seeing it either especially with things like the Five Eyes intelligence system set up in Australia not seeing it makes it impossible to happen. China would have a better chance of making a tunnel from mainland China to California to get here, and anyone with 2 functioning brain cells would know that’s impossible. It’s all of those things that makes America so over powered

The United States military is a highly professionally trained military with experience. China, India, Russia, North Korea and Vietnam are mostly conscripted military personnel and except for Russia haven't had the actual experience in war. And we the world see how well that's going for Russia against Ukraine. A smaller country with no equipment at the outset. A small military with some battle experience from 2014 Crimea invasion from Russia. Relying on NATO countries to supply support for the weapons. And they're holding up against the supposedly second strongest military at the beginning of "Russia Special Military Operation". So despite the decline in the United States recruiting if anyone threatened the United States that would change. Because despite the political reasons and the vicious media portrayal of the people being divided the American people will come together in force if any country in the world tried to harm us. If warships are cheaper to make than carriers, why don't countries have more of them? The infrastructure needed to build them is insane. There are only a handful of ports in the world that could even be setup to build them. You need a very deep port, in a well protected location, with land transport infrastructure capable of moving the supplies to the port (road and rail are mostly out, you need a large river that empties into the port or very close to it to move the big-ass parts to the place where they're assembled). Aside from the U.S., only Russia, Sumatra, Quatar and Panama have the necessary geography (without major civil engineering projects), and of them, only Russia has built out the infostructure for such construction. Japan *could* in theory build such ships, but not without starting WW3, lol. That would piss off the U.S. China and North Korea, not a crossfire they want to be caught in. Latvia could as well, but the cost of the infrastructure would be higher than their entire GDP, and they're way too close to Russia to try. Turkey and Bulgaria could build smaller versions even more cheaply, but not as capable. Canada could also build them in theory, but they simply don't need that many, it's cheaper to buy them than build the infrastructure to make their own. Then there's also access to the manufacturing resources, massive steel mills for example. The amount of copper in these is insane. The amount of available electricity and clean water needed to manufacture them... Many countries buy these resources, so the cost would be much higher for them. Also, those deep ports are often much more valuable for freight than for ship construction, so using them to build ships comes at a significant opportunity cost. A shipping port that scale for freight can generate tens of billions a year in revenue, where making ships costs money, it doesn't make money. So even those who have those resources don't typically use them for that purpose. Most countries with access to a coast DO build their own war ships to an extent, but comparable scale and capability are extremely difficult to achieve. They will make more ships, but smaller, and less capable.

There's always multiple factors to any situation, but factors that affect the declining US participation rate in the military would include an increase in being used to being comfortable, a wage that doesn't really match with putting your life on the line, and internal political divisions. Outside forces may never destroy the US, although who knows, history is filled with empires that thought they'd never fall. Right now, from my view our greatest threat is ourselves. We lack a common enemy, and so we've taken to fighting amongst ourselves. Our outside foes attack the soft underbelly; the US populace, it's opinions, and how they affect our politics.

10 years ago, my son was planning to serve. Then they started appointing non-military trained people, (ie. politicians) to head the military branches. His belief is that these types of leaders would not consider the cost in lives if the US went to war, (as demonstrated by history)… because of this, he opted not to join up. Please understand that this was not a snap decision, his father, uncle and grandfather all served.

Why are the Army and Navy so expensive but still not meeting strategic targets? This is a really interesting question. I know in the Navy's case it has a lot to do with the decline of the American shipbuilding and goods manufacturing sectors. Also research and development are very expensive. And sometimes it's a bit shady. The only ones who have gotten really good at R&D from a money perspective so far is the Air Force. Btw respect to the troops.

The A-10 warthog and the Angel of Death Lockheed AC-130 gunship. No raptor or thunderbolt can make an opposing force shit their pants faster than a literal flying Gatling gun. Seriously if you're interested go find a video on them.

I’d imagine that the reason enlistment has fallen is that there’s nothing to fight. I joined after 9/11 because there was an enemy, the same can be seen in many conflicts the US has been involved in. There are benefits to joining regardless of when (college, training in job skills for the future, VA benefits), but if I was an 18-25 year old today… I wouldn’t join. Not because I don’t love my country, but there’s no enemy to fight. That’s a good thing though, peace is far better than war.

So, the US has Selected Service Registry. As soon as u turned 18, it is mandatory. You get put into the Selected Service. So, those potential numbers is about ppl that can be drafted, and they also include current Retiree, Reserves and Guradmember. Selected Service also isnt limited to Citizens. So, if u are a Permanent US Resident, but a citizen of the UK, u can be drafted to fight if the US is ever invaded or a World War scenario comes about. Funny shit can happen )olay maybe not ao funny), but if u are a Chinese citizen and have a Permanent resident status, u can be drafted to fight China. I think they may write an exception for that because it is insanely difficult to pick up arms against an opposition where your family or extended family resides. Now, as a citizen, it is a whole.other story. I swore an oath to defend and protect the United States.

For the US the UAV category include AI controlled Bombers, Refuelers, Spy, EW jamming, Fighters, and Helicopters. Those are all "Full Sized" aircraft. Many are starting to be AI controlled. It also includes all the smaller "Drone" as well. We just finished the new VISTA program which is an AI computer system that can be installled into many different airplanes like the F16, turning all those into AI fighter jets. We have so many toys there is not a single video that can cover them all

What’s going on in the Red Sea? Piracy that has become organized and a major disruption to global commerce. Either you have to have an armed escort, (which doesn’t always work), or your boat will be boarded and the crew killed or held for ransom. Many shipping companies are opting to go around via South Africa instead of going thru the Suez Canal. MUCH longer journey, but worth the extra time and fuel because of the threat in the Red Sea.

The U.S. always gives a lower number of how much they spend, how many planes, submarines, tanks; etc. The U.S. Never tells anyone what they really have, and yes we already have weaponized satellites. If you want to see something wild, look up the SR72 Darkstar plane. These planes have a top speed of over MACH 6, and they're so fast that they can't shoot bullets or missiles at top speed because they would fly into them; so they have very high-powered lasers instead. They're faster than any missile made and they can fly higher than any other jet. They can even fly into the lower levels of space, that's why the pilots have to wear special space suits while flying; they're a slimmed-down version of what astronauts use.
