And another good film by Luc Besson is Leon the Professional(1994), also with Gary Oldman and he's very good in that. So director Luc Besson released "The Fifth Element" in 1997, showing how he imagined the 23rd Century on Earth. 20 years later, in 2017, he released "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets", which takes us further into the interplanetary future of the 28th Century. "Valerian" got panned when it came out, but then it also took a while for "5th Element" to be understood and accepted when it was first released. And both films grow on you with each time you watch. I would recommend you do a reaction to "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets", if only to see how director Besson's vision had developed over that 20 years.
