Two possible reasons for multiple Bibles in the home: 1. One for each person -- lets each person read when they want without interfering with the reading habits of others. 2. Multiple translations -- having different versions lets you look up passages and see if a different translation gives you a better understanding of the verse. I also know people with Bibles in multiple languages (English, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, etc so you can compare the original wording with the translations to get a better understanding. As to Multiple guns, a person might want a shotgun, a hunting rifle, a pistol, a target gun, etc -- different tools for different uses. At one time I had 13 -- only two now but I'm retired and no longer compete. Multiple cars -- similar to guns -- different tools for different uses. A passenger sedan for commuting to work, a truck for hauling stuff, a 4-wheel drive for playing offroad, a big SUV for a family gathering, etc.

Kansas is a constitutional carry state meaning any resident that isn't prohibited from owning guns can legally open or conceal carry a gun. Generally speaking, you cannot discharge a firearm inside city limits. Once outside city limits you cannot shoot from a vehicle and are always responsible for making sure you are not endangering people or property (which includes shooting into the air). All but four states (and Washington D.C.) allow the open carrying of a firearm either with or without a permit. Open carry means to carry a firearm in public in circumstances where the firearm is fully or partially (e.g., holstered) visible to others. Some states specify that open carry occurs when the weapon is “partially visible,” while others may require the weapon to be “fully visible” to be considered carried openly. States may impose various restrictions, including age limits, criminal history conditions, geographic limits, etc.

Open or Concealed carry : The question is not what states can you, typically the question is what are you required to do it legally, and whether it's a long gun or a handgun. Texas now allows you to do pretty much anything ( not "brandishing") without any license, registration. Other states "may issue" or "shall issue" licenses for handguns, and many other differences. Making it outright illegal would violate 2A, as confirmed by SCOTUS.

To be fair you have to consider police and military in these facts about guns. Meaning if police in Britain don't carry a gun, American police officers do and often have a rifle in their car. I'm not sure if military is included in these statistics either but that surely would put the numbers over the top! Most guns in my experience anyway are hunters! A hunter may own many guns depending what they are hunting! A duck isn't going to be blasted to bits by a bear rifle, nor is a bear rifle going to be used on a squirrel. A squirrel ammo isn't going to be used on a moose! Get my drift! So when they say more guns than people.. 1 hunting family can have more than 10 guns whereas the other 10 families own none!

I'm from South Carolina. Speaking from my experience I have 2 cars, one is my mom's (she has lived with me since my dad passed) she still drives it some, but it's mostly used to take her where she needs to go. We are also more of a semi-rural area, so driving is a must. We have very limited public transportation. We have 2 dogs - hers and mine. I own 2 pistols, 1 rifle, and 1 shotgun - but we are 2 women living alone on 20 acres of land, so protection is a must. SC is an open carry state which means we can open or conceal carry. I carry my smaller pistol everywhere. I even have a special holster that keeps it ready for me to pull out of my purse easily. I also carry police issued pepper spray. One of the perks of having a law enforcement family. I couldn't begin to tell you how many Bibles I own. I have Bibles that belonged to both my grandmothers and 1 great-grandmother, one that belonged to my aunt, 2 family Bibles (with past family births, marriage, etc. in them), my personal bible, and I have no clue how many study Bibles - maybe 8-10. Often the reasons we have multiple Bibles is because they used to be how families kept records i.e. our family Bibles. We also pass them down from loved ones who have passed on. And if we read our Bibles regularly we have companion or study Bibles that help with understanding. I don't have a gym membership but I had one in the past. Some homes in the US have more bathrooms than bedrooms. My home has 3 bedrooms, but I have 3.5 baths. One full bath per bedroom and a half bath for guests or when we are too lazy to go too far from the living room. 😂

Ironically, a portion of the Second Amendment of the US Constitution - the right to keep and bear arms - originated from the English Bill of Rights of 1689. It was also the illegal seizure of privately owned firearms by British forces in 1775 that became "the shot heard around the world" and began the American Revolution. When a nation is willing to start a revolution over their right to keep and bear arms, then you know that is going to be a very important issue to those people in the future. In Alaska you can openly carry or conceal carry any firearm you wish, without a permit or license. All firearm permits and licenses violate the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. Nobody requires a permit or license to exercise a constitutionally protected right. Most States continue to violate the Second Amendment. Only a small handful of States, such as Alaska, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, and Vermont actually abide by the US Constitution and uphold the Second Amendment.

So, I live in Alabama, and you use to have to have a conceal carry permit. So I got one, then they changed the law to open carry lmao. But basically, even though guns are legal across the US, each state has their own carry laws. And then the process varies from state to state on how you can obtain a gun. Usually you have to pass some sort of criminal background check (people convicted of federal crimes can't own them legally), and then you may also be required to pass some sort of medical background check. Meaning, that you have been institutionalized for some sort of mental illness or on certain prescription medications like psychiatric medication which could be an issue.

Rural and suburban families tend to have more cars than city people. Why varies, and it informs the kind of car you get. A common distinction is a car for the entire family (which may be an SUV or similar; basically something you can put the kids in and not have them squished), a work truck which may or may not be for work so much as heavy duty stuff (mostly moving a lot of heavy stuff) and a daily driver which gets good mileage and you use to go to work and back. In rural locations especially there's sort of a mentality that you don't really want to dispose of older cars if you don't have to; I grew up with a station wagon (I think you call that an estate car or something) made in the 70s that by the time we got rid of it the dealer was only able to give us 150 for it. Old clunkers like that usually end up becoming the back up car. The car culture helps not only in that people just like to have extra cars if they can, its also something of a hobby thing for some people. Most people I know who own more cars than they use are essentially amateur mechanics. Some actively fix up and flip them, which is absolutely not worth their time but pays for it and is a neat hobby, and others use it to try out stuff they wouldn't risk on their regular car. Then you have Car™ Guys™ who have project cars that are street legal usually a couple weeks out of the year.

I live in a "Shall-Issue" state. If you're over 21, have taken a safety course and have no criminal background preventing it, if you apply for a permit to carry, you are almost 100% guaranteed to get it. There's some confusion over whether it's open-carry or conceal-carry, but I live in a pretty small town and nearly EVERY business has "We ban guns on this premises" signs hanging up. But you DO have to have that permit to carry a firearm off of your own private property. Yeah, if I go outside, there's about five churches within just three blocks of me, so... they are kinda like Starbucks. Which, ironically my town only has one of. I don't think I've been to a single house without at least two bathrooms. Mom has three in her house. And if she ever finishes her basement, it could go up to four or five.

The cars thing has a reason! At least in rural areas, we tend to have one car that's smaller or more fuel efficient, and then one vehicle that's more for utility. Usually it's a truck for obvious reasons, but for some it's a van or SUV for trips. Then there's the ppl where the extra car is the sports/luxury vehicle. Not to mention those who collect and restore antique automobiles. Firearms open carry laws change per state. Here in Arkansas you don't need a permit to buy a gun, and the law that required an open carry permit was recently removed, so you can walk around w a gun willy nilly! It comes down to business and private property requesting no firearms on site.

Yes states are different. I’m from Mass that have very strict gun laws - classes, background check, etc. I live in NH now and I can walk into any gun store and purchase one with no experience. Pretty crazy difference, but most people use it for home safety or recreational so it’s never bothered me.

Your right about the weight thing! I can't give you specific statistics but someone did a video and I think it was like 14-17 countries were more obese than America and naturally weren't even close to our population!

As for bibles, it is pretty easy to accumulate multiples. Even families who are not particularly religious will probably have a family bible and/or one handed down from a grandparent. I can say that I have a smaller one I keep at my desk, one with larger print for taking with me, one from the 1800s I picked up at a sale, a pocket edition that was given to me, and a family bible (which has pages for family tree, dates of important events like weddings, baptisms, etc.). That doesn't include digital copies and the audio version. My wife has multiple copies because she can't decide which one is easiest for her to read. She also has a German edition that used to belong to her great-grandmother (I think).

I’m currently single (divorced), I own a four wheel drive truck and a four wheel drive car. As a retired soldier, my firearms collection is more extensive than most people’s, and I own two crossbows and three bows. If you search Wikipedia for “Constitutional carry’ that page will tell you which states require no permit to walk around with a concealed firearm or an openly carried firearm without having any permit (I have a concealed carry permit for my state of Nevada). There are two dogs in the house, neither are mine (I haven’t gotten a dig since my last one died) but both get real upset when I travel. Both are rescues and even though I wasn’t here when the male was rescued, I got back home a couple weeks later and he was still hiding in the back yard (he had been on the streets for a while and didn’t trust humans at that point);when he finally came in the house I was sleeping on the couch (due to back surgery) and he made friends with me first because of that. I have three bibles, a Torah, and a book on Buddhism; I have also read several books on the occult and witchcraft (mostly just out of simple curiosity, people with high IQs like to learn stuff). Of course I have a gym membership, you can’t eat bacon burgers, tacos, biscuits and gravy, and lasagne anytime you want it and not work out, you end up on a tv show titled my thousand pound life, or something like that. I think I own three pair of sweatpants, but about ten pair of gym shorts and five pair of swim trunks. Three full bathrooms in this house with four bedrooms; 2700 sq ft. Also, I own over five and a half acres of land in Alaska where I’m building a cabin. The bear that lives on the property is curious but doesn’t seem to mind my presence.

My household has 3 cars but only 2 licensed drivers. The third car was my original daily driver until I inherited my dad's car. I'm saving it for when my daughter decides to get her license. In my family it's typical for everyone to have their own Bible. When we sit down together to read everyone with their own copy. So, the number of Bibles in the household is determined by how many people live in the household. As a child I'm absolutely certain we had at least 8 bibles in the house at any given moment. Unless it was Sunday because most of us would take ours with us to church so we could look up the verses being discussed and possibly volunteer to read aloud in Sunday school. My house has 3 bathrooms. The master bath, the hall bath, and a bathroom between two bedrooms.

Most of our houses aren’t that big that they showed at the end of the video. I grew up with one toilet and was that hard with 6 people. Ever since we have had about 3 in our houses. Two bathrooms upstairs and a half bath on the main floor. Yes, we wear sweatpants. Yes, we own guns but never carry them. They stay locked up at home. I have 4 Bibles at home. A very old one, 2 newer ones and my husband has one. I read one of them every week. We have two cars at home. One is 12 years old, one is 8 years old. Not brand new or fancy.

@7:40 "...in what States are you allowed to walk about with it in your pocket or on your hip?" Know that those are two different things. In your pocket, would be concealed carry. On your hip, would be open carry (as long as clothing or a coat isn't covering the hip holster, then it's concealed). The answer is to check the laws of where you're planning on visiting. Most (but certainly not all) States allow open carry without any permit. But most will require a permit or license to conceal carry. You also may run into some weird, anachronistic exclusions in law. For example, in Pennsylvania, most of the State allows open carry without any permit, HOWEVER the City of Philadelphia requires a permit to carry, period. That restriction is a holdover in PA's Constitution, from when the city was the nation's capitol, and was meant to restrict foreign diplomats from being armed.

Gun laws definitely vary by state except in the case of specific federal regulation. It's kind of complicated. Some states allow both open and concealed carry without a permit for those over 21. Others require training and a permit to concealed carry. The number of hoops you have to jump through, the training requirements, and the cost varies by state as well in those that require a permit. It isn't legal in any state to discharge a firearm in public unless you have an immediate need to protect your life or someone elses. Even when hunting, there are laws designating how far from both structures and public roads you're required to be before discharging a firearm. Shoot too close to houses or from the road, and game wardens will come and take the animal you harvested, your gun (which you may or may not get back), and fine the dog piss out of you.

In the Great State of Alaska, we have "Constitutional Carry", meaning that if you are legally allowed to own a firearm, you are legally allowed to concealed carry it without a permit. We also do not have permits to own or buy firearms. You can also open carry here, and you are free to shoot to your heart's content on public lands outside of city limits.

None of them are top of the line and have between 50 and 200k miles on them, but they are reliable and worth more to us than what it would be to sell. We only have 2 firearms currently but have a collection of bb and pellet guns.

From an American here would be the answers to your questions: Cars: once you break the poverty line in the us it turns into essentially each driver in the house having their own car as its too spread out and no one ever seems to need to go to the same place lol. Dogs: More than likely for companionship as family can live far away and friends don't fill the same void for some people Guns: I live in the south which obviously makes my anecdote biased but most people either have 0 guns or multiple because he can be personal carry. My family itself between 5 people own 4 pistols, 2 shotguns, 1 short rifle and 2 long rifles. and yes the laws change on open carry, concealed carry, or no carry depending on the the state. Bible: We religious people in the US tend to each have a personal bible as Protestantism stemmed from reading for yourself. Gym: As a previous heavy person, can confirm I had a gym membership the obesity problem stems from issues with high caloric food with lots of sedentary jobs and remember all the sitting while driving too. Sweatpants: We deem them more casual wear not lounge wear. Plus during the winter we use them essentially as coats for our legs lol Toilets: Depends on the amount of square footage, but usually 2 toilets for a two bedroom house. some house might have 3 toilets if 3 or 4 bedroom house.

Shooting into the clouds is generally not a good idea, because gravity is a thing, and a bullet at terminal velocity can be dangerous. If you're looking for a way to safely discharge a firearm, you want to be aiming at something that can safely absorb the impact, like a mound of dirt for example. Americans usually view books as a _personal_ possession, owned by an individual and kept in their bedroom, as opposed to things like kitchen utensils and a sofa, which are common to the whole household. So it's very normal for _each_ member of the household to have their own Bible. Additionally, it's also very normal to own copies of multiple different translations. Most people who actively attend church, own copies of at least two of the "big three" translations (NIV, KJV, NASB), and it's fairly common to have additional ones as well. Copies of the Bible are also commonly given away, e.g., when I graduated from high school I was given a copy (NKJV, IIRC) at the baccalaureate service, courtesy of the community ministerium council; and I was also given an NIV study Bible as a graduation gift, from a family member. Per capita, Americans are more likely to be overweight than average by the standards of most geopolitical regions (with the notable exception of Polynesia). However, it's a large and diverse country, so there are also a lot of skinny people, a lot of athletic people, and so on.

The crime isn't mostly caused by legal gun owners who have a dozen guns for separate sports, like hunting rifles vs shotguns, or self defense carry pistols vs nice competition pistols. It's 90% illegal weapons in cities which already have the stictest gun laws possible as in Manhattan which has more guns floating around illegally than all the registered weapons.

I'm in Mississippi, and we are an open carry state. Women are allowed to carry in their purse or briefcase. Men usually carry using a discreet holster. I have carried in my purse everyday for the past 30+ years. My husband owns a couple of pistols and I own 3 . We also have rifles and shotguns. Our state also has stand your ground law with castle doctrine. If someone is trying to harm you, your family or your property you have the right to stop them using any means necessary. Criminals will get a big surprise if they try home invasions or squatting in most houses. I don't know anyone who owns just 1 gun. Take care an God bless.

It does vary state by state. Some states have whats called "constitutional carry" which basically means we don't need to be issued a permit to carry, the 2nd Amendment IS our permit. But that doesn't always transfer from one state to the next, so you have to do your research if you're traveling across state lines with your firearms.

I grew up in the sixties and seventies. I lived in a one bathroom house with my parents and six sisters. Before taking a shower you had to go through the house and ask everyone if they needed in the bathroom before you took a shower. The house I’ve lived in for almost thirty years now only has one bathroom. When our kids were living at home there were three of us that shared the bathroom during the week and each weekend my husband’s two kids would be there, so five of us shared the bathroom. It can be done and it is still done especially in older homes. Regarding Bibles owned by Americans. My husband and I own nearly twenty combined. We have different versions like the NIV, NASB, ESV, NET, and KJV. Also, some have commentary, and/or a concordance that helps you find the book, chapter, and verse you want by using a few words that you know are in the Bible but can’t recall the exact place it’s in. These types of Bibles are often referred to as study Bibles. Neither of us are pastors, we simply love the Word of God.

You can't just go by the percentage of the population either. For example the current population of the UK is 69,339,071, while the current population of the US is 346,325,991. So saying that 75% of Brits means 52,004,303 while 75% of the US is 259,744,493... Which is 5 TIMES the amount... So if 77% of Brits own a car, that's 40,043,313 and 90% of US own cars, that's 311,693,391...

I live in Fla, and we have constitutional carry. I have two licenses. One for my work and my state license. We CAN NOT open carry. And there are very strict rules for carrying concealed. There are various situations that, if you get caught up in that, can get your firearm taken away from you. Example. Domestic violence or openly displaying your weapon in a threatening manner. Committing a felony will also cost you your 2A right to be taken away.

Every state is different with their gun laws. I live in Minnesota if you wanna carry a handgun it doesn't have to be concealed although it's stupid not to conceal it. You simply have to go down to the sheriffs office they make sure that you're not a felon or domestic abuser And you get a permit. You have to take a class every three years to keep your permit. Some of the southern states and some of the western states that are less populated have open carry as does my State. Again most people don't carry in the open that's just asking for trouble. And also let bad guys know that you're carrying which is a disadvantage to you.

In the USA 31 states allow open carry of guns, meaning no paperwork or permits required to carry a gun. 10 more states allow gun to be carried but have added laws that a citizen must be at least between 18-21 yrs old depending upon that states law. Once required age is reached then the person can fill out paperwork to get a "permit" to carry a gun. The remaining 9 states have varying degrees of restriction on carrying guns.

Cars: most households have at least two, unless they have kids of driving age, in which case they often have more than two. We're talking middle class families. Dogs: If you want to know how many dogs there are in a neighborhood, take your dog for a walk there. Other dogs inside houses will enthusiastically announce they exist. My experience shows about a 70% dog ownership rate in my extended neighborhood. Guns: Laws are different between states and they are also different between counties in a single state. What's legal in one county may not be legal in another. (Check that. I just remembered what's legal in my county is NOT legal to own/carry in the main city in that county. So, it's nuts.) I invite you to check out New York's gun laws. If you can make heads or tails out of that mess, please fill me in when you have a free moment. Many other states have very few laws around owning or carrying firearms. Carrying a concealed handgun is legal in all states, but some states require a permit while others don't. Some states do not allow for open-carry (on your hip in a holster plainly visible) at all; only concealed-carry under clothing is permitted. But some states do allow open-carry. You can't wield a gun in any state unless you're hunting, sport shooting or defending yourself. You can't (legally) walk into a grocery store with a firearm in your hand, but in some locales you can walk in with it holstered or slung on your shoulder. In most other locales you can walk in with one if it's concealed (and you have a permit). Easy, right? On privately owned land (yours, or land you're invited to shoot on where the local laws permit it), you can do pretty much whatever you want as long as you're not putting anyone in harm's way. Bibles: many older ones have family trees in the first few pages, so they're sort of a family heirloom and they're kept from generation to generation. I think we have two or three in my house. If nothing else, it's handy to keep one on hand as a reference. Sweatpants (and beer) are God's way of letting us know He loves us. He might have the toilet thing messed up. You'd know better than we would. I only know one person who has just one toilet in his home; all the others have two or more.

As an American/USMC Veteran, I find how people who live in other Countries view/think about mine, interesting. I have traveled, but not as a 'Tourist.' Much as I would LOVE to do that, it takes $$$ I just don't have (atm). My 'Visits' were via the military, and as a Woman the last thing I was going to do was wander around the various towns/cities in the Middle East while on Leave! :-) I think the words 'Freedoms and Liberties' are lost on most Americans. We were born with it, lived with it all our lives, and to us, it's just 'Normal/Nothing 'Special.'' It takes people from other places noting it, to give us pause and then consider it from that perspective. From cars to firearms, it's important to realize- No single 'Tool' is capable of doing every job! I own two trucks (One, a Classic military Dodge work truck I inherited from Papa, and my own little Ford Ranger p/u, for daily life/chores/shopping.) I have neighbors who own MANY vehicles. Cars, trucks, tractors/heavy equipment, for managing their land/ranches/etc.. Firearms are the same thing. I'm not hunting Elk/Deer with any of my .22LR platforms (Not that I couldn't, but it's not a wise choice, generally speaking.). I won't state the exact number of firearms I own ('cause that's nobodies business but mine-own), but it's well past 'Ten!' What I (And everyone I know/associate with!), find hilarious is- The Govt. itself has NO CLUE who owns exactly what, and they don't even consider many firearms as 'Guns' due to their age! Papa's M1 Garand (From WWII fame), is as capable of doing what I may need it to do, every damned time, and has lost NONE of its efficiency over the decades. Yet Govt. doesn't even count it! This is just one example, of many. Black powder, even CANNONS aren't counted, and start considering bows, traps, 'Home made devices,' then the accurate # of 'Weapons' the American People own (Or can easily make), is beyond count. We prefer it that way! I'm currently in Oregonistan, and I now 'Open Carry.' I've had more positive conversations with my fellow Citizenry, Sheriff Deputies, and town Police than I can count. Being American, I presume EVERYONE is exercising our Second Amendment, and I conduct myself accordingly. Anyways, another tldr reply. Apologies! Enjoyed your video 'Reaction' very much! Am looking forward to the day you move to America and join our lively 'Family!' :-)
