Your reaction was priceless! It's my understanding that Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song, no classical training period, by listening to a recording by Celine Dion Andrea Bocelli. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks Philipino broken english, but his singing was self taught. The recording engineer was teasing him about his female voice. That's why he spit her out at the end. Notice his big grin after doing that. He is singing now in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese but not speaking those languages. Possibility even more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7 or 8, and now is married and a father! He is very humble, helping out his neighbors with odd jobs and repairs, even though his reported net worth is around $5,000,000 USD. His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

Here's his story . His mother left him when he was two while his father was in jail. So he had to live with his father in jail. ONe of the wardens took him . for a few years fostered him. But he wanted to find his mother so he ran away. as a result he only finished 3rh grade. He took a lot of mean jobs and it was in a poultry farm where he discovered that he could actually sing both male and female ranges. Still he had the desire to find his mother so he went to the city and tried to find his luck he was able to join a nationwide singing contest where he became champion. he was able to reunite with his parents and his siblings. Now he is married and with a child may more than one.i dont know. but his singing ability has turned his life around. that is as brief as i can relate his success story. BTW i 'v subscribed and i am from the PHilippines.

The most astonishing thing is that he doesn't even speak Italian, so the fact that you says that his pronunciation is really good says a lot. The fact that he can switch between the 2 different voices so seamlessly with no time in between is almost a biological wonder in itself. The technical aspect of just singing 1 of the 2 voices in the song, is extremely hard enough. So doing both in the same take live with almost no missed pitch is insane.
