Maxwell Thorpe's performance was mesmerizing and hypnotic. His voice is one of the best operatic gifts. I was emotionally spellbound from the first note. It was so emotional that I had chills and tears. He captured the audience and the judges. He's absolutely wonderful and moving... I think it was much better without all the instrumentals drowning his voice out not that this is bad by any means. Bocelli doesn't have that great a voice. He's a pop singer, not a real opera singer. Pavarotti is better. He's a real opera singer.

His voice is much more powerful than Bocelli and right up there with Pavarotti... I listened to Pavarotti and Maxwell perform Caruso back to back several times and as much as Pavarotti has been the best forever, this guy may be better, he is unbelievable.
