Who else saw Mrs. slocumbe smirk at the end? That was classic!!!!!! 🤣😂😅😆

😂 Mrs Slocombe was the best. She knew how to get Captain Peacock off his high horse. Such a great show. Nothing like a rainy cold Saturday afternoon watching Absolutely Fabulous, Are You Being Served and Keeping Up Appearances with a cup of coffee. They don’t make funny shows like this anymore. Thank God for YT lol

Its funny how Mrs Slocombe abruptly switches back and forth from a posh to a Brummie ? accent.
@richardphillips1971 Жыл бұрын
She spoke in a posh accent in front of customers but when no customers near her Northern accent came through. Molly Sugden was typecast into posh middle class ladies she played Mrs Hutchinson in Liver Birds and Nellie Harvey in Coronation Street

Its so sad when the comedy highjackers have stopped all fun. Every body loved this in the 1970s, kids, parents, and grandads in a time where people were not afraid to laugh

What’s funny is that, Captain or Corporal, low ranking officers like him aren’t supposed to use their ranks in civilian life after retirement; only higher ranks, like colonels, are allowed that privilege.
@stevouk Жыл бұрын
@@magicaltour1 I think Lt Col and above can use the rank as of right, and Major (Retired) can be used but only with approval. But you're right. You cease to be a Captain when you leave the service.

To the unknowing American viewers, the reverse peace sign in the UK, is the equivalent of a middle finger salute in America.

@@braveheartbob3473 No, I meant the part about who's superior. Men being superior solely because of their gender is often questionable in 2023.
