The fuzzy crackling went away before I did anything, which is poor timing. So I'll have to check back in hopefully some time, to see if this worked. I was about to roll back to the previous driver, but yea. As far as disabling all the audio enhancements... that really sucks the life out of the audio, in a way. I'll see if the other changes worked first. Edit: Okay that didn't work. I didn't change the audio enhancements though, and I didn't do the more in depth stuff towards the end of the video. But rolling back my audio driver to the previous one, fixed everything instantly. My past driver was also delaying audio most of the time after I press play on youtube. It would only play the sound half a second later. Now it's instantly. So that's very good.

I have the Realtek audio chip disabled in the BIOS. LatencyMon pointed the network driver as the source of the problem. Tried changing the power settings (both OS's and LAN driver), as well as a few other things. To no avail. Removing the current Realtek LAN driver and installing the previous version solved the constant audio problems.

I solved my problem of mouse and audio lagging, simply by formatting again! The first operation I did when opened for the first time the desktop, was to perform the installation of the chipset drivers, namely, the 'amd_chipset_drivers_am4_tr4'. I never turned on the internet until I finished this installation! Don't let other processes install chipset drivers instead of the originals! I installed everything else normally after that. I think that was the solution for the problem, which is annoying me since a few years. And I thought, it has something to do with RAM or some processes like updates in the background. Thank you! 👍

OMG I did the first step and it worked like magic, unbelievable, I was about to return my laptop but realize it was a software problem, the issue would also appear during my headphone use and I knew it was probably solvable thanks to you.

My problem with the crackling and out-of-phase audio on a Soundblaster sb1570. All other audio devices are fine. Using windows 10 64bit build 1903.

Firstly, failed at the first step - my Windows 10 does not show the same menu popup as yours. The option "sounds" is not there. However, I managed to access the sound control panel via another route. Secondly, I am using a generic sound driver rather than the correct one, Realtek, as the Realtek driver is terrible. It has a much worse problem which is a delay whenever restarting a video. That means that whenever you pause a video, you have to go back before restarting or you will miss the first couple of seconds audio. The Realtek drivers have had this problem for several years but the company has shown no interest in rectifying it. Tried everything else here but the problem persists. This seems to be common problem with, and unique to, Windows 10. Having experienced numerous problems with Windows 10 over the past 2 years, I'm seriously considering ditching it for one of the Linux platforms. I'm now at the point where I think the advantages will far outweight the disadvantages. Thanks anyway!
