I figured it out! My sound only worked when I had my earbuds in. Each time I tried playing a video with sound, I could hear clicks that come from the speaker. Out of spike, losing hope after watching countless of videos, searching through websites. I slammed my hand against my laptop and sound blessed my ears. Moral of the story: violence is the answer.

My issue is solved : Following are the steps I followed: 1. Went to official website of my computer(lenovo). 2. They scanned the PC to know to the Serial no and Model no of my PC. 3.The list of Drivers occurred on screen and they advised to install the drivers. 4. One of the drivers was ' Realtek High definition driver' which was missing from my computer. 5. After the installation crackling noise issue was solved.

None of these worked. I've only had my laptop for 6 months. I only started to have this problem yesterday. When I turn my laptop on, it's loud. But 3 seconds later, it decreases to where I can barely hear audio even if it's up to 100. Any other tips? Is my laptop broken?

I use hp, I called them Something went wrong with the update and crashed it. So I had to download and use a new operating system. It's working now
