Not that you need more video requests to fill up all your free time, but I’d love to see a video on setting up a dual boot installation-maybe on that ThinkPad of yours, or a T560 if you’ve got one. I’ve done 3-4 dual boot installs (Windows/Linux) on both a Lenovo T560 and an Asus L410. They always seem to work flawlessly at first, but after a few power cycles, things start falling apart. It’d be great to see your take on how to properly set this up-or troubleshoot what might be going wrong.

Oh, I 'member doing that with my old Z3735F-based tablet. It was impossible to enable touchscreen capabilities and load apps from PlayStore back then. Also, some problems with power management. Dunno if it became better.

Brian! I'm being patient :) I'm waiting until you're done with using the older Laptop for video purposes, while I wait. I'd appreciate a rough estimate is £100 good? I can buy a 6th gen i5 with SSD & windows 10 installed for that but.. 1 I won't be using Win10 and 2nd I'd rather buy one from someone I trust I.E You! 👍

That's good to hear :) Oh it'll be used alright (100% not abused) It WILL be kept in top condition. I was planning Linux but.. now you have reminded me of Chrome OS I'm in 2 minds hmm.. it's been a year or so since I've used Chrome OS now I'll have to do a vs battle both would do the intended job planned.

Hi Brian, thanks for the video. It was very interesting. I've also tried ChromeOS Flex on a computer I have, and it worked great. It's a good option for Windows 10 computers when Windows 10 support ends next year, especially if users don't want to pay for extended support for Windows 10. Microsoft has not yet announced how much it will cost to pay for extended support for Windows 10, but they will do so when the end of mainstream support for Windows 10 nears. So, I have two computers: one with Windows 11, which has full support for Windows 11, and a Windows computer that does not have full support for Windows 10. So, I will see how I do with my Windows 10 computer in October 2025. And from what I've heard, it looks like Microsoft will close the loopholes, so you can't run Windows 11 on an unsupported computer. Then we also have 0patch for Windows 10, which is an interesting option to be able to run Windows 10 after October 2025. Then, of course, we have a lot of nice Linux distros out there. Thanks again for the interesting video. Take care, Brian, and have a lovely day.

I honestly think Chrome OS is a better alternative than Linux. Here's why: 1. Better technical support. 2. Android app support locally built in. 3. Its free! 4. Its more intuitive and easier to use & install. Less daunting for less tech savvy people. 5. Chrome OS gets support for a very long time.
@Britec092 ай бұрын
