How to FIX Email APP in Windows 10
Having trouble with your mail app in Windows 10? don't worry I will show you have to reset the mail app and repair mail app and resolve sync issue, not opening issue or any other problem you may be having with this email client.
There has been a lot of people complaining about emails not syncing, Mail app not opening and problems adding new email accounts. Theses problems can be repaired by following the steps in this video.
Windows 10 mail app has some setting problem as well, where they are not functioning correctly and simply resetting the app can resolve this issue.
1. How to reset the Mail app Settings
* Click Start button
* Settings.
* Click Apps.
* Click Apps & Features.
* Select the Mail and Calendar app from the list.
* Click on Advanced options.
* Click Reset button.
2. How to uninstall the Mail app on Windows 10
* Right-click start button and select Windows PowerShell, right-click and select Run as administrator.
* Copy & Paste:
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps | Remove-AppxPackage
3. How to reinstall the Mail app on Windows 10
* Open Windows Store and search for Mail and Calendar and click install.
4. How to install missing Mail app packages on Windows 10
Type CMD in search box and right-click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator.
* Copy and Paste:
dism /online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:OneCoreUAP.OneSync~~~~0.0.1.0
* Reboot your computer and Mail app should be working fine now.

Yes, you saved my life with the VERY FIRST "Settings, Apps, Mail, Advanced, Reset" hint! Wow! I'm impressed. Your steps are so perfect. After that, I did do a complete power down shutdown and a power down of my internet. Then a reboot. Mail was PERFECT. All the emails that were waiting in my "Sent" box since August 1st, immediately showed as "Sent". I am subscribing to your Britec tech help for sure.

2020-04-28 this did not work for me in Australia with Surface laptop. You are always my first excellent go to for information. Sadly Mail and Play store app do not open and also not showing in the app list. I have done scanfc/scannow + DISM _ uninstall but nothing happens. This is a re install on a surface Laptop 2. Hey Britec, it seems I have an issue with the mail app I cannot seem to fix. Everytime I open the app it shows my old e-mail account which was deleted about two years ago. A fresh install of the app didn't help, it gets re-added every single time. Interestingly, if I create a new user account in Windows 10 and use the app there, the account isn't displayed. So I am wondering if there is a place where the app stores information like that, which does not get wiped when reinstalling the app.

Good video, but if this fix does'nt work for you try turning off "defender". Worked for me. After latest windows update seems to have affected firewall in relation to mail app. Now use "comodo antivirus" for security!

Hi Brian, thanks. Im having an issue with right clicking on a file and "share". The option to share by Windows mail comes up but not Outlook mail. Is there a trick to bringing outlook mail into the option for sharing a file straight from right clicking on it? Cheers alot.

i cant get my app to open any hyperlinks. i can open the app and open my emails. but i cant get it to open any hyperlinks in my emails. i called microsoft and they did a complete update on my windows 10 pro. i did what you did, uninstall and reinstall, i did the other command to help it sync. and still i cannot get it to work. i dont know why i spent so much time on this app to begin with? but any more suggestions or is that it? i thought about uninstalling it for good. ive never ever have gotten microsft outlook to ever work for me.
