Despite the wind, one of the best things the late Mr Fuller picked up in this epic footage, especially for those who rarely, if ever, witnessed Concorde for themselves, was the familiar popping cracks of the afterburners tearing the air to pieces on take off. Something I heard twice a day, every day for 25 years living on the door step to Heathrow. Pretty much every video I've seen on KZbin of Concorde does not pick that up from early camera mics.

Used to watch the Concorde fly over my house many times since I live on the Jersey Shore, and it usually landed at JFK. You could tell it was the Concorde before you could see it because the engines sounded so different than the other planes. Young people missed out on never seeing such a beautiful plane.

Nice footage, I remember growing up near Shannon airport in Ireland and they used to train and you'd see it quite regularly, it would take off fly up the coast and land again and take off..it had some power. Standing underneath it as it flew low over would nearly make you sick it was so loud 👍

Imagine if Concordes were as common and as affordable as Ryanair. Manchester to Lanzarote faster than it would take to get the train from Manchester to Sheffield!

This flight had arrived from Bournemouth UK and carried 100 passengers who were to board the P&O cruise ship Arcadia. 100 other passengers from the ship, who were escorted from the docks with a police escort, then flew back to Bournemouth. There was no requirement to check in at Lanzarote airport as we were all treated as V.I.P's. I sat in seat 26 D on the return leg.

Such an awesome bit of footage there!. Having been a Concorde 'anorak' since 1972 when I first saw her fly at Farnborough airshow when I was 7 years old I was completely hooked. By coincidence my wife and I were fortunate to fly on Concorde to Tenerife in August 1997 where we then did a cruise that took us to Lanzarote! We fell in love with the island and have returned nearly every year since 2002. As an aviation buff I've often wondered how great it would have been to see Concorde take off from Lanzarote airport, and now here's some actual footage!

I don't see how a Concord could take off from the runway at Lanzorote. It doesn't look long enough. I saw one take off at Dulles Airport in Virginia and it took up just about every inch of their longest runway. Then it flew a good while seemingly just over the tree tops; then the pilot pointed the nose upward at about a 45 degree angle and that thing climbed like nothing I've ever seen.

Was fortunate to fly Concorde Supersonic from London Heathrow to Tenerife in August 1997. This was a chartered flight that was organised by a company called Superlative travel. the other company that organised one off Concorde charter flights was Goodwood Travel.

If my memory is correct the flight back to Bournemouth took 2.25 hours which included having to fly around the airport area a couple of times to use up surplus fuel due to the aeroplane being too heavy too land at Hurn airport. I know this as I was sat in seat 26D.
