My instructors were awesome, even now after being out 26 years I can still remember it and be deployed instantly! Hopefully the Falklands again as I just missed the first conflict, well training exercise more like to be bluntly honest! Come on Argentina what are you thinking? Its like putting Mr Bean in the ring with Tyson fury! No other country would dare step in either coz our friends from across the pond will have our back! Ain't that right my US bro's! Reminds me of my old colour! Very serious guy, but one of the last things I remember of him was on annual he sat on one of those shit flip tables and went straight through! After regaining his composure he tried to sit on it again with the same result!

He probably is a Corporal posted into the training regiment to do the physical training for the recruits. Usually after two years he will be posted back to his unit to continue with his trade, but the good ones move back to the Gym in the unit to carry out Regiment physical training for everyone. The rare ones then attempt the Army Physical Training Corps, after completion they get promoted to Sergeant, then can post to any Army unit to organise and run physical training for the unit.

WARNING! During training during WWII, my father who was in 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, convinced his platoon to return across the finish line of a run up The Hill at Shilo in a line so that "no one wil lbe last" sparing that poor unfortunate trooper another run up The Hill. Yeah, right! You may have guessed that the Sergeant sent the entire platoon up The Hill for their insolence. Don't try to out think your sergeant! 😊

Allowing them to take off their kit gave them a little motivation. It's a small thing, but it meant the world to them. Most people who have never done anything like this would never understand.
