Not many of those jobs are left these days. Saying that there’s barely any British Army left these days.

@@Ian20232 Yes you are right, i remember hearing a joke not long ago, the British army were doing an exercise with the american army, a British general told a us general how many uk troops would be takeing part in the exercise with the Americans, the american general said is that a British regiment, the uk general said that is the whole British army, the american general just laughed and said good job we are on the same side and this is just an exercise.

@@andrewmcdonald793 In North Africa, in WW2, an American battalion commander was asked to deploy his troops to defend a section of the line. He refused, saying it was too large for just one battalion. The British commanding general said "Tell him not to bother - I'll task a Company of the Guards to do it".
