Bobsledders Bruce Tasker and Toby Olubi, of Great Britain, had a scary crash on their second run at the BMW IBSF World Cup race in Altenburg, Germany, on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Neither was injured, fortunately.

That's a pretty horrific crash, actually. How is it possible that neither Bruce nor Toby have no neck or head injuries? Sometimes these types of injuries are not immediately apparent. I'm glad that they were walking afterward and I hope that they are doing well.

Inline Downhill Vancouver I know that this comment is very old, but I'd like to answer it for anyone wondering. Athletes that suffer accidents like this are usually monitored closely for a few weeks before being allowed to go back to competing to make sure that they haven't sustained any neck or head injuries. So claiming that someone has suffered no injuries right after an accident is a bit premature of a claim, which is why most people state 'No immediate injuries'.

The helmet and neck braces help, also that the ice is incredibly slippy so there isnt much impact friction to snap things out of place. They also train so that at a moments notice they can duck their heads down in like a brace possition

Where's the staff? I've seen so many of these videos and usually when the bobsled stops there's at least 2 people reaching out to grab it and stop it from sliding back plus more people running towards them and medical staff checking that the people are ok.

No, he's trying to stop it sliding backwards, but fails to hold it. Towards the end of the track, the bobsled will actually start sliding backwards if it loses momentum there.
