I was a preteen when 9/11 happened. I remember. And to this day, I've never met someone who didn't appreciate and doesn't remember England's support and playing our national anthem when 9/11 happened. There were British soldiers and medics who helped save my first husband's life after being injured by an IED in Afghanistan. To see your shared patriotism makes my heart full. As someone who lived as a military wife and raised my child while his father left for 9-12 months at a time to fight for our freedom, thank you.❤

My brother -in-law served 3 tours in Vietnam on a Huey medivac helicopter and was shot down three times but still cut from the burning chopper the leather things of the good luck charm I had told him he had to bring back to me, and he DID!!

I totally love this song. Toby wrote what all Americans were feeling. It seemed like all of us were running out & getting that cd, & blaring it all across the U.S. He caught a lil flack over it, but 99% of the Americans were standing behind him & this song. Sadly, Toby passed away February 5, 2024 after fighting yrs of stomach Cancer.😭

One of the most patriotic songs and our military loved him. My husband is a retired Navy SEAL who served in Iraq & Afghanistan several tours. We loved Toby Keith and are crushed he has passed away. Keith refused to record this song for a long time. He would only perform it live. He relented and recorded it on a personal request by a top General who pointed out a lot kf Marines and soldiers would never have the chance to see the live show. He just returned to the stage last month after a two year absence fighting against cancer, and plans to be back on tour this year.

Toby toured US military bases in active war zones to entertain our troops and raise morale. He wrote this song in response to his father’s passing and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. As far as I’m concerned, Toby was an exceptional man and patriot. Rest In Peace.

He has lost a lot of weight which can be expected from stomach cancer, well, cancer in general but he's still handsome. Keep the prayers 🙏 going for him to make a full recovery.
