RECIPE: 1 block of Velveeta 2 Tbsp whole milk 2 cans of Rotel (Original Diced Tomatoes and Chiles) - blended/chopped for about 10-15 seconds. 1 pound of breakfast sausage (preferably Jimmy Dean original/regular sausage) -- cooked thoroughly and broken into ground pieces. 1 large bag of Ruffles 1 large bag of thin-and-crispy tortilla chips Direction: 1.) Cut Velveeta into one-inch cubes. 2.) Add 2 Tbsp milk and cubed Velvetta to pot set at medium heat (stir frequently and be careful not to burn cheese) 3.) After cheese is fully melted, add 2 cans of Rotel (preferably blended for about 10-15 seconds) and blend by stirring 4.) Add fully-cooked breakfast sausage (fully broken into small pieces) to fully blended cheese and Rotel. Serve atop Ruffles and/or tortilla chips.

Using a slow cooker or Crockpot on low with a plastic liner works great if you have the time. (The plastic liner just helps keep the pot clean.) Using a microwave safe dish works well if you stop and stir it every few minutes. Rotel Cheese Dip is great for parties and luncheons. It is still good without ground sausage. If I have some ground beef, I’ll cook it and throw it in the dip instead of the sausage. Most of the time, I just use Rotel and Velveeta without any meat. If you have any leftover, it seems to stay good forever in the refrigerator. It is best on corn tortilla chips. I like it on baked potatoes too. (It is easy to burn, so be careful using a pot on the stove. I’ve overcooked it in a Crockpot by leaving it on low way too long without stirring it.)

You could be sent the whole block of Velveeta like was in this video because it's shelf stable. It doesn't need to be refrigerated before it's opened. But once you've opened it and cut it the remainder must be wrapped up and refrigerated. The kinds that come pre sliced like Kraft Singles must be refrigerated constantly so the only way to send them there would be to pack a cooler with the cheese and I guess lots of dry ice which would just be nuts & Customs is going to definitely open and ruin something like this.

The Loblolly Pine, commonly known as yellow pine, has been cultivated for at least a century in the southeast US, despite being an indigenous tree. It is prized as lumber and was used in shipbuilding on the Gulf Coast since the 1700’s. It is also used for wood pulp and supplies many paper mills in the south. Loblolly Pine is also a leading choice for creosote coating and use for telephone polls for obvious reasons. As one is cut down for use, another is planted in its place, at least in the many large cultivated commercial forests in the south.

Y'all call hot dogs sausages but here, sausages are different from hot dogs. Hot dogs are typically made of beef, turkey, chicken, or a combination of meat by-products. A corn dog is a hot dog dipped in a cornmeal batter and deep fried. Sausages are typically made from pork or chicken with a particular blend of spices that are typically served with breakfast. They can be spicy, but usually aren't. "Pigs in a blanket" are sausages dipped in pancake batter and deep fried, usually served with syrup. We have other sausages typically called "Polish Sausage", Polska Kielbasa" or "Bratwurst" that are served for dinner or supper. Love watching y'all!! ❤

There is a big difference between real American Cheese and Velveeta, or even the individually wrapped “processed cheese food” which legally cannot be designated a simply cheese. If you unwrap the individual slices of the disgusting “cheese food” stuff, stack the slices and stick it into the fridge, the next day you’ll basically have Velveeta. The velvety texture of which makes iconic macaroni and cheese. In fact, Velveeta has its own boxed product, non-refrigerated, of processed Mac and cheese which you really should try, if you’ve never had it.

Oh, how I loved that girl. She wrote about driving on the left side of the road. Her names for various parts of a "motor vehicle" made me laugh. She couldn't understand me when I would use "blocks" to describe a distance. I think I scared her when I wrote about "hurricane season". I think she saw me as a modern day John Wayne when I would write about the squirrels and rabbits I had shot in the woods around our house, brought them home and skinned and cleaned them and mom cooked them for a meal that same day. She didn't understand my use of the word "woods". I really messed her up when I told her about a slough (pronounced sloo) or a bayou or a brake or a dump. I asked her in a letter if we were boyfriend and girlfriend. And I never got another response from her.

I don't think so. I'm old enough to know that the first slices of American cheese in a package were slices of "real" American cheese (which is a processed combination of other cheeses), not the processed cheese food product. They weren't individually wrapped and were a real bear to separate. They were so real, the edges would get dry and even crumbly! The individual wrapping came later, and the conversion into plastic frankenfood came even later than that.

The packaged stacks of not-individually-wrapped cheese slices were sold at least into the 1990s. They came in both Kraft and grocery store brands as well as Borden. They cost less than the individually wrapped slices. I remember them back to the mid-1960s, years before I even knew about government surplus cheese. KZbin erases comments with links, but you can easily look up the info yourself. The singles slices were more like the others in taste and texture for a while, but became slipperier and more plastic over time.

Some idiots would drive their own cars and get nabbed by license plate photos and views of their real, unshields face. Yes! Mark's glitter bombs are now one of my Christmas highlights. Look forward to them each year. His other videos would be great reaction content also.

You guys need to watch the glitterbomb vs porch pirates videos from Mark Rober. He was an engineer for NASA and had a package stolen from his porch, so he made a trap for porch pirates. Funny stuff.

Lawrence is growing on me, thanks to the two of you. This video was a real hoot. Sixty years old and I have never before heard of a Loblolly Pine, my learning moment for the day. If you haven't, watching the videos he mentioned about Porch Pirate Revenge Videos are hysterical.

If you would like to see another interesting insect besides the Luna Moth that we have here in the states you might like to check on the Dobson Fly (and it's larval form the Hellgrammite) - the stuff dreams are made of. 😁

Also check on the Praying Mantis.

Free Refills became a thing sometime during the 80s, if I remember correctly. It became solidified sometime in the early 90s in that most place by that time offered them. Prior to that, it was rare.

Luna moths are absolutely beautiful. They're like the butterfly of the night.

1lb of melted Velveeta is mixed with a 10oz can of Rotel in this home, for dipping tortilla chips in. Been making this dip since the 70s. The Velveeta and Rotel mix is similar to what Arkansas just calls Cheese Dip. Arkansas claims to be the home of Cheese Dip (since the 1930s)....and it's NOT QUESO! they say...LOL

We usually call it Rotel Cheese Dip or just Cheese Dip. (Texas)

For another wonderful American patriotic song watch Home Free - God Bless the U.S.A. (featuring Lee Greenwood and The U.S. Air Force Band). I love your reactions. Thank you for sharing with us.

The Velveeta "Singles" are the Perfect Size for Cheeseburgers or Simple Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. A Corndog is a frankfurter on a stick, dipped in a Cornmeal Batter and fried... you can even have some side Dipping Sauces for fun.

As I'm sure other people will say, you absolutely need to check out Mark Rober's videos. He does glitter bombs for porch pirates, but he also has other science-based videos. I'm not very sciencey but his videos are really interesting and make me wish I would have paid more attention to my high school science classes.

The American Cheese singles vary in contents from real cheddar or American 100% cheese to soy cheese or cheaply made lesser cheese content. For a fast breakfast on the go toast with butter and a cheese slice works well.

American sitcoms from the 70's. Had many controversial subjects, for good discussions. "All in the Family," and the "Jeffersons." Would be a good start. Just st check the content for the episode, to see which one sounds interesting.

American cheese is not only that plastic cheese but a semi hard cheese that was around way before that kraft garbage you can get it sliced at deli it's a creamy slightly salty softer cheese, but it does set hard like a soft cheddar block.
