He called me a liar. Me being a bit hormonal at the time jumped out and told him to get in and try it for himself. He got in my little Honda and connected it then could not get out. I had to go and get his training officer, who laughed the whole time, to get his butt out of my car. The police department paid for a brand new one. And no ticket for me thank goodness.

Only two reasons why a traffic light in the US is flashing. If it's red it means the power is out and the light is on back up power, but you treat the intersection like a stop sign. If it's a yellow flashing light is a caution light. They are normally used around a fire station because a fire truck may enter the street at anytime. So you just need to be aware that might happen if you see the light.

He went flying and was saved because he was wearing full protective leather gear. His foot was torn off, however, and he had to have a below the knee amputation. It turns out the driver didn't own the car, there was no insurance on the car, and the woman was illegally in the country. Can't sue someone when they have no money. His insurance covered some of the cost for hospitalization, but he had to pay a lot out of pocket and couldn't work for months. Lucky His company continued to pay for his medical insurance. A flashing red means stop and proceed when safe, just like a stop sign. At 3:56 you can hear someone saying "pendejo," which is Spanish slang for "idiot." I think that's the eastern span of the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge at 5:49. Even when a car is in self-driving mode, the driver must take over if something goes wrong. Here in the US, you can get a driver's license at 16 then just renew it every 4 years. You only need to test once in your lifetime. However, people forget the rules of the road and get complacent and develop a sense of entitlement after being behind the wheel for a while. I am a huge proponent of testing, both driving and written, when you renew. If you fail any one test, you do not get a new license. Also, I believe if you lose your license because of traffic violations, in addition to any fines you get, you should also lose your insurance. You would need to work hard to get back driving privileges. I used to work in a hospital as a volunteer, and too many times have I seen the result of a complete moron on the road. They themselves may not have been injured, but the amount of devastation they caused is incomprehensible. Imagine seeing a family lose a loved one because of stupidity. The one that broke me was a baby, not more than 6 months old, was killed because of a damn punk teen was texting while speeding. He crossed the median and slammed into an SUV head on. The mother had a few cuts and bruises, but the child had massive brain trauma from the sheer force of the impact. For as long as I live, I will never forget that day. All because of an idiot in a car.
@gwgux Жыл бұрын
After hearing about somebody dying on Christmas Day last year at one our intersections where wrecks are frequent, I agree. We absolutely need to toughen up our laws as they just aren't working as intended. However, that's just one part of it. The the other part is enforcement. Some states and cities are pretty good for cop coverage and pulling people over for traffic violations, but it's not equal across the country. I live in an area where that coverage and enforcement is pretty bad to where I'm lucky if I see one cop on the road patrolling and pulling people over each quarter. The vast majority of the time I see cops is only for when a wreck happens.

Speeding in itself isn't the problem. Those who never take the time to learn how to safely speed while fully concentrating on their surroundings and the road ahead are the problem. Even people who drive carefully at the speed limit or slower never learn to drive properly and can cause danger at any moment. Until this world learns this lesson and forces everyone to take more advanced driving lessons while taking licenses away from those who refuse or are unable to implement what they learn into their daily lives, I will keep getting irritated when I hear people utter the words "drive the speed limit, drive safely". If you respond by telling me that "I'm putting others in danger", you're just offended because you're the one I'm describing here who believes in driving the speed limit but never use your turn signals, turn your headlights on when its dark, reads traffic or calculates the measurement in the gaps you're trying to squeeze into and the speed of every vehicle around you. This is all fact as I witness it every day I'm on the road and I'm the one who has to let you all hog the road with your incompetencies.
