As to the copilot he was thoroughly investigated him, he really was an innocent victim that had been tricked by Andrew in Atlanta to join him on the flight. Though as other posters have stated he spent the next several years under constant surveillance but the DEA eventually decided that he really was innocent.

He'd know about it in the same way a taxi driver would know the exact contents of a passenger's luggage in the trunk. There's no reason for the passenger to tell him those things and if the passenger is carrying something valuable it increases the risk of it being stolen. A charter pilot being paid to co-pilot a small plane isn't likely to have been involved at all and was just there to help with the flying of the aircraft which was owned by someone else, cargo which was owned by somebody else and pilot who probably knew only because if he was being hired to fly a plane with cargo on a certain type of route he'd want to be paid sufficiently for the risk he was knowingly taking. There's no reason to tell the co-pilot about the risk as it could lead to theft or would make them demand more money for participating and leaving them without the knowledge means a normal pay rate and if the pilot has already taken care of checking and loading the cargo and stuff it's not really the co-pilot's concern.

I can identify with the co-pilot somewhat. • I once got into a vehicle south of Los Angeles, California for a trip north to Oregon - but I noticed we were headed south & made mention of this: the guy behind the wheel had unilaterally decided to go to Arizona! • I once travelled to Mexico helping an elderly man from my Christian congregation travel to his house there & back for a house-check (during a rebel uprising it turned out). We apparently skirted into Mexico at a spot when & where there wasn't anyone checking the border. Later we stopped at a military check-point (I don't speak Spanish & have no idea what was said). We then soon reached his house which was out of sight, but not out of hearing of that check-point. The elderly man then took a Russian-made semi-automatic rifle from his house & fired several rounds into the air, went back inside, drew the curtains, & then remained fairly quiet for quite some time after that! Later we quietly exited Mexico as we had entered. I've had other experiences where I've ended up with nut cases & criminals - & one doesn't always get fair notice before a trip starts. Moral: Be wary of who you travel with - even the ol' church mouse.

As far as bears go, if it is a black bear you want to look big, if it is brown get on the ground (face down), and if it is white it is too late because polar bears actively hunt humans and can smell you from over two miles away so if you are seeing it that means it has been stalking you for awhile. Also, with bear spray it works on 98% of non-predatory encounters because a bears nose is hyper sensitive. It hasn't been shown to be effective in predatory encounters because when a bear wants to eat you very little will stop it. Bear encounters are rare, and predatory encounters are even more rare, but they do happen. That is why it is recommended to hike with either a gun or with bear spray in certain parts of the country.

If attacked you need to play dead n put your arms around the back of your head covering your neck to protect that area. I'm not sure if I really could play dead when the bear is throwing you around. I was in the Chattahoochee National Forest a few days ago. I go to that area a lot and to nearby Cloudland Canyon. And yes Bear Spray is a thing. Unfortunately, I can't carry a gun in every park but bear spray is meant to stop a charging bear. It's recommended that you use it in short bursts in case the bear charges more than once. I carry a large canister of it that's good for eight 1 second bursts. Also, Sophie is just beautiful.

I hope you're a fellow Appalachian. I was born in North Carolina, grew up in Tennessee with the smoky mountains in view from my front porch. Live in South Carolina now. I'll never forget the beauty of Tennessee. I'd probably carry two canisters myself. I know they're kinda bulky and relatively expensive. I'm not taking a chance that the first canister malfunctions in any way. I know that's unlikely, but better safe than sorry. If I'm in a park where I can carry a gun, I'm bringing a 12 Gauge with Slugs plus Bear Spray. I'm scared of death, as much as anyone is. But death at the hands of a bear? Worst fear. All I think about is what that Timothy Treadwell death audio recording would've sounded like. Just pure agony for several minutes. There's a fake audio recording of his death and it's probably pretty accurate to the real thing.

In Yosemite National Park, California where black bears generally eat quite well, many times I came fairly close to one or more black bears over a span of about a dozen years & I was never attacked - I even had one sniff my sock-covered foot as I laid still & silently praying to God while in a pup tent one night (no food was in the tent). Nevertheless, bear attacks did take place there - & I even thought that I was about to witness one when a photographer got a bit too close to a mama bear whose 2 cubs were up clinging onto a nearby tree; but fortunately he became aware & retreated. By contrast, decades later in Arizona where the food was more scarce I heard one report after another where a black bear would go out of its way to eat humans (it was ripping apart cabins & dragging folk out)! Another case of aggressive behavior by a black bear happened when a lady's dog continuously barked at night from within her trailer & apparently was disturbing a bear cub's peace, because one night mama bear ripped into that trailer & attacked the dog (& the lady was wounded when she tried to help her doomed dog: the bear left once the dog was dead). A dog, 'defending its territory,' barked at a black bear one night in Arizona just south of the I-40 near Ash Fork, Arizona around 10 years ago. They only found its head. Be careful of making assumptions regarding black bears (BTW: black bears aren't always black: other common colors are medium brown & a mix of light & medium browns referred to as cinnamon). 🐻

When you encounter a bear allow the bear to approach and sniff your hand without reaching your hand out to them. If the bear is comfortable being in your space and showing relaxed body language, you can try to stroke them. Gently reach out with the back of your hand and stroke the bear's shoulders, chest or under their chin, which most bears enjoy. :)

I have a theory that the co-pilot was likely an undercover agent, as it doesn’t make any logical sense otherwise that he’d be let off… because even if you’re just a passenger in a vehicle if there is copious amounts of drugs, alcohol, or paraphernalia in the vehicle with you; it is likely that you’re going to be detained and questioned by the authorities…. because there’s no way that you’re just not knowing where you’re headed or what’s in the vehicle with you. You don’t just hop in a vehicle even with a friend and have no idea where you’re headed, what you’re doing, or what’s in the vehicle. That’s just one too many subsequent bad choices to be a coincidence. So, he either knew exactly what was going on and snitched on the whole operation thereby receiving a “pardon,” if you will, a deal of sorts for ratting out his “friend” or he was an undercover operative (hence why the federal agents knew exactly where that Cessna was and was therefore able to tail them and the pilot simply didn’t suspect him). All of that or he was really just a clueless idiot who he brought along to form a cover story/alibi. But, nobody is THAT clueless. I’m leaning more toward the feasibility of him being a snitch though and getting off light for ratting out his buddy.

The Movie was designed as What If imagination style Movie of what if the Bear didn't OD/Die in such a quick short amount of time the way it did in real life...and it went on a long wild drugged up K*lling spree...that is what the Movie is all about Hollywood's taking of a crazy short lived moment in history and very heavily dramatically fantasized it up...just like Hollywood has done with numerous other Animal based Dramatic and Thriller type of movies 🤔

Sounds like you're doubling up the source audio with its audio going out to the room, creating a latency delay (slapback echo) which is very distracting. Dizzying. Does my head in. Editor needs to just untick one box in the audio section of the video project. That simple.

They have bear spray in the USA as well. I have some. Because I hike. I also carry a 9mm. just in case. Just to make myself feel better. If you come face to face with a female bear, and then u hear her cubs crying behind you, well, your a dead man.
