So my theory why there’s a lot more very explicit queer references-at least from Wille’s POV is because as an after effect of the video this whole new world was kind of cracked open to him. Also at the end I think he’s more having a bit of a panic attack than actually renouncing his title haha but I guess you will see. So happy to see you guys reaction. Also you guys got one thing wrong - the problem isn't that wilhelm needs to come out to his parents/sweden's monarchy, its that he can't reveal it was him in the video because the royal family doesn't want an underage s*x tape of the crown prince floating on the internet, especially considering it was also with a boy. Everyone at wilhelm's school knows he likes simon and his mom does too - his problems stem from his responsibilities of being the face of sweden and his public image.

Buckle up. It's a bumpy and emotional ride. Beautiful cinematography, storytelling, and acting. I just can't with this show. Watch for strong season 1 parallels, they're everywhere. ❤️

Simon thought wilhelm would tell the truth about being in the video and not leave him to deal with it on his own but at the end of s1, he broke simons trust and denied it while still trying to get back together. Sara kept telling simon he lets people walk over im (his dad, wilhelm, etc) so he has every right to want space from wilhelm. You'll see he tries to recreate his feeling for wilhelm with marcus but fails and that the realistic aspect of heartbreak , you try your best to find those same emotions you felt in another but it never feels right

This season is rooted in realism and the realistic things that happens when one goes through their first heartbreak - the writing is SO good. I related to both simon and wilhelm individually as they both navigate trying to see if they recreate the same emotions in another person.

Firstly I agree with Ayub. Wilhem at the moment is toxic to Simon. Secondly I’m not fond of this rebound concept except if both parties agree that it just a temporary thing. If not then you’ll hurt the other person.

I already said that but I am a huge fan of all your videos. I was so locking forward to this one 🥰Laughs (Marcus and the Karaoke, the self confident crown prince area, Grinder in Sweden?! 🤔🤭😂, the library thing 😂😂.... ) but also always a thorough and relevant analysis of the videos you react to. Many thanks for that to both of you 😍 BTW, I think you're the first ones to talk about all the queer touches you've noticed in this first episode, especially when Rosh talks about his ex-partner. I kinda disagree. He has apologised for making the statement but sometimes an apology isn’t enough. And I kind of see Wille’a perspective; he’s a 16 year old kid who just lost his brother and is under enormous amounts of pressure. My heart breaks for him. And for Simon. Their situation is sad. What August did however was way worse than what Wille did. It was illegal and inexcusable.

Josh is absolutely spot on. Obviously, I wasn't in a relationship with the Prince of Sweden or anything nearly that dramatic. But those relationships where you never work on your underlying problems but keep having these crazy reunions where you exhaustedly fall into each other's arms and a couple of days later it goes right back to drama... they break you. If you have the strength to get off that ride, you should.
