This was part of a TEDx event in Reno, Nevada in January 2017. TEDx is a community-organized event that brings in speakers and performers to share their knowledge and experiences. Dany was 16 (17 a week later), Pau was 14 (15 just two weeks later) and Ale had just turned 12 in December. This was actually the second time they had participated in the TEDx experience. They appeared the year before and the video of the event was so popular they were invited back. This performance has hooked a very large number of The Warning's fans (like me).

Their parents are huge music fans and when they were kids they spend "family day" watching DVD's of old concerts like Metallica, ACDC, Queen, Elton John etc and while growing the Father bought them the Game RockBand and they Fell in love with the feel of Performing and doing music later, they got real instruments and start their journey to where they're now planing a North American tour for March-April the girls start music appreciation and classic piano lessons when Dany and Pau were 5-4 respectively and later Ale Join them when she turns the appropriate age of Four I think and even more as they grew up parents got them enrolled in a all girls catholic school (Liceo Monterrey) that later they quit public school to have 5 hours practice alone and other 5 hours practice together they start having class with professional music teachers and the rest is History ...the Warning Army will be here soon to fill my voids in the story to full comprehend this young musician that brought back the old good feeling of Hard rock back to life and they're still young ! Between 17-22 years

Easy way to figure out their ages. What year it is is Dany’s age. 2022 Dany is 22 ( birthday is in Jan) . Pau is 2 years younger then Dany ( Pau birthday Feb 5th which happens to be today so she is now 20) Ale is 3 years younger then Pau ( birthday in Dec) This video was from Feb 7th 2017 so Dany was 16 or 17, Pau 14 or 15 Ale 11 or 12.

This is their 2nd invite to TedX to do a talk and play. They done another one a year before. At the time of this show I think the ages of Dany was 17, Pau 15 and Ale 12. Such talent at such a young age. The Warning do write relatable songs and lyrics beyond their years. Pau, the drummer wrote a song about addiction at only 13 years old and it is a great song. Pau sings lead and plays keyboards. The song is called Black Holes. The version recorded at the Dakota bar is the best performance in my opinion if you would like to check that one out. Beware, you may get emotional on this one too. Looking forward to more great reactions soon. 🤘

When I´m alone was written by Dany on her own, when she was at school and very homesick, she had to write a song in order to pass the summer course and When I´m alone was it. As usual your reaction to these girls is very good.

I just discovered this band. I am a 55 year old man, and I get emotional also. Because anyone who is passionate about music (and dreamt of being a rock star lol) can understand these ladies very well. Their talent, dedication, and passion for music is obvious and they are living their dreams. 🤘 I don't know if you noticed, but Paulina broke a drumstick and reached down and grabbed a new one without missing a beat. As for their inspiration, I read that it was the video game "Rock Band" (and obviously parents and music).

This is a kind of conference kind of event, i know there is a lot of motivational talks that take place during these talks, so no I wouldn't expect the crowd to be active. That just not what i've ever seen at any TedEx event, it's a more academic thing.

This was a Ted Talk conference that combines entertainment with information. This was actually the 2nd Ted Talk that they did. AT the time of this they were 16 14, and 12 years old. Here is their background that should answer some of your questions: The Warning is a band of 3 sisters from Monterey, Mexico. Daniella (Dany) turns 22 at the end of Jan., 2022, Paulina (Pau) turns 20 at the beginning of Feb., 2022, and Alejandra (Ale´) will be 18 in Dec, 2022. Their parents loved music and the kids saw many videos of rock concerts growing up. They started in music early when Dany and Pau were enrolled in music initiation class at ages 5 and 3 respectively. Ale´ was too young at that time but when she was old enough learned the same things. They took classical piano lessons and were quite good. When Dany was about 7 their dad bought them the video game Rock Band, and everything changed. They fell in love with rock music and performing (even though it was just a game). When Dany was 8 her dad asked her if she wanted to take up another instrument (along with piano). She chose the guitar. Later Pau chose the drums and Ale´ chose the bass. They practiced hard and in 2014 put out a KZbin video for their grandparents to see how they had progressed in their music. That video was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman, and it went viral. To date it has well over 23 million views and has gotten praise from such notable bands as Metallica and many others. The girls were caught off guard completely and had to make a decision. They quit school and began homeschooling so as to have more time to devote to their music. They practiced 2 hours a day separately and another 2 hours together every day- and they still do. Their Enter Sandman video was also noticed by Ellen DeGeneres, and they made their US TV debut on The Ellen Show in 2015. The girls were trying to raise enough money to attend the 5-week classes at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Ellen found this out and she and Target presented each of the girls with a $10k check to attend those classes. Because Ale´ was only 10 years old she had to get a special exemption to attend but she got it. Harmonix, the makers of the video game Rock Band, also noticed the girls and invited them to come to their facilities in Boston for a tour. While there they got to preview the soon-to-be-released Rock Band version IV and were completely caught off guard to see that their song Free Falling was in the game! They started the band because of the video game Rock Band so having their song in the game was amazing to them. In 2015 they also released an EP called Escape the Mind. It was an exploratory group of eclectic songs designed to sort out their style. In 2016 they were invited to participate in a Ted X talk at the University of Nevada where they told their story of how they got into music and started the band and played 3 great songs (2 originals and a cover of The Foo Fighter’s Pretender). They were a hit and were invited back in 2017 where they talked about producing and launching their first complete LP called XXI Century Blood. They played 3 original songs from that album and wowed the crowd again. In 2018 they released their 2nd album Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey thru unrequited love- from love, to infatuation, to obsession, to murder, to remorse. It is an amazing album, and every song is performed with great passion. Their Mexican critics called them Cultural Traitors because they did not sing in Spanish and did not sing the traditional Spanish tunes. The Warning’s response was the song Narcissista. It debuted at the end of the 2019 Foro Didi concert in Mexico. The song says, “You say you pray for us, but we don’t see much praying”, and “you don’t know us”, and “you just talk to talk”, and basically tells those critics to Kiss Off! It was purposely written and sung in Spanish to make sure those critics understood every word, and the lyrics were put on the big screen behind them during the performance. You can understand why Pau sung it with so much passion! The Warning was always an independent band and used such tools as Patreon and Kickstarter to fund their efforts. In 2020, after 7 months of negotiations to keep much of their independence, The Warning signed with Lava/Republic records for a 5-record deal. At the time they were 20, 18, and 15 years old. Their first offering from the new record deal is the EP Mayday. It is a 6-song half album of amazing music. Dany is a very accomplished guitar player and sings lead most of the time. Pau is a world-class drummer and sings backup and lead (lead about 20% of the time). Ale´ is an amazing bass player and sings backup and lead when necessary (a bit shy about singing lead). All 3 play keyboards as needed and can jump in to cover singing lead in any song when needed. It is so obvious that u related 2 these talented young women. Ur emotional response is what makes reactions so enjoyable to experience. This was a show from 2017, so Dany (guitar) was 17, Pau (drums) was 15, and Ale (bass) was 12. I am guessing that this version of "rock" is not ur typical groove. Trick to find their approximate age, is when did the video/performance occur and as both Dany the singer/guitarist and Paulina the drummer were born at the at the beginning of the year(end of January/beginning of February), and since Dany was born in 2000, so for Dany just use the year, so in this case 2017, so she was 17 years old, then Paulina is 2 years behind so 15 and Alejandra unless near the very end of the year is 3 years behind at 12, otherwise she would only be only 2 years behind.

Hi Riesha, the audience is a bit static in these settings, all academics and they are used to talks as opposed to rock chicks belting songs out. I love Pau's performance in this show too, the first song has great drum patterns, so cool and Pau's style here with the raised arms is very typical of her in this period. If you look at the latest "studio sessions" of choke and Evolve, etc her style has changed to a more controlled, super professional look.
