Thoroughly enjoyed this Vlog Ali, loved seeing the F1, your garden in daylight and especially at night is totally magical, I did wonder at around 32 minutes of the vlog what it was that walked past in the background, kept re-watching and still had no idea and knowing you have no white animals, then, as if by magic Porter appeared with his girlfriend and it all made sense 😊 Loved seeing you get the bat back too, so adorable ♥️

I just love the racing… lovely to see behind the scenes abit🙂 I have fruit bats in my garden… not sure where there roosting, but it’s lovely sitting out there at night watching them… when you talk it’s as though they zoom right past you close, so cute as there very tiny species to some other bats. Garden looking lovely… I brought a u sofa last year… best thing I ever done, so comfortable and I’m outside all the time on sunny days. Nice your vision coming together and your enjoying the garden more this year. All the best to you both

We hit a heat wave record of 42.9C in Abbotsford, late last month, outside Vancouver, BC, Canada. Mostly our temps are the same as yours. It was beyond yucky. A/C couldn't keep up either. Hope this was a one off. Enjoy your heat wave...29 C sounds balmy- lol Love the gardens and aLL your new furniture.

We have them too - they are protected species so if any building occurs, its compulsory to provide them home in the original location. We have them in our garage roof too

Without AC I would suffer from high temps at night and not be able to sleep. The whole house has to have it because the bricks hold the heat like an oven.

Did u get a chance to watch the Netflix drive to survive??? If u have I get the hype, am full on. Wow formula 1 is my new fave to watch, I think that definitely helps to create the excitement. Am huge fan for Gasly. I think for Lyds to understand the hype you have to watch from the first Netflix seasons 1, show. Get her on it it’s amazing, u learn about the drivers backstory and you really learn to cheer for your driver, with their back story .

Well done with the bat Ali. You did all the right things, wearing gloves, handling it the minimum amount necessary. There is probably a local bat group, if you contacted them they could teach you about the species of bats you have in your roost and how to handle bats. Or you could try the Bat Conservation Trust, who could put you in touch with a local licenced bat handler. N.B. In the UK you require a special licence to handle or disturb bats, with the exception of removing them from your 'living space' if you can do so (as Ali did) without harming them.

Bats are a protected species in the U.K. that’s why you have got bat boxes in your house. 🦇 You can not ever try to get rid of them or harm them. Or you could get a very hefty fine. 👍🦇👍

COPPER WIRE around the plants stopped my slugs 🐌 either that or slug watch and removing the slugs, and the leaf they’re on…..they hate going back to a place they’ve not finished! Eventually the plant is big enough and the slugs hate big adult plants!!! Xx

I’m sure Ali knows this but just a reminder to anyone watching that if a bat with rabies scratches you, you need to seek medical attention immediately for treatment. By the time you show symptoms for rabies, there is nothing doctors can do and it will be fatal.

We are so lucky that we don’t have rabies in the UK - I recently watched an episode of Mystery Diagnosis where a four year old boy in the US died after being scratched by a bat that he found in his back yard, his parents did not realise that he had touched it so he was late getting diagnosed. So sad.

I’m in the USA, First the bat situation…Why would you all have or want bats near your home? Many have been known to carry Rabies and the Plague, I don’t get it? The racing is cool, I come from a family of a Dirt Track Owner, my father had been racing from a very young, until about 75-78 years of age (he passed at age 81) my brothers Race modifieds, my dad started out with racing midgets with the Unser family, it’s amazing what they’ve done for safety. As far as future videos, perhaps you can do more videos on helping the young 20 something males dress more stylish for business, casual, etc. I’ve had my son watch a couple you’ve done.

Please have you're baby boys back checked from time to time. We just had to have our 4 year old dachshund put to sleep. At some point in time he damaged his back. By the time he was showing any symptoms the Dr. couldn't repair the damage to his spine. He stared to limp and be in pain. The next day he lost the use of his back legs. We are devastated. So have his back checked regularly. They are the most precious and loving dogs.
