I'm glad you enjoyed this song. They put this out during the pandemic to cheer people up. :) The guy with the high voice is Jimin. I recommend 'ON kinetic manifesto come Prima,' Black Swan and Fake Love. These songs are a mix of English and Korean as are all their songs, so make sure to put on subtitles. :)

This is one of their 3 English songs that don't really represent who they are as artists. They have a discography of over 300 and cover multiple genres as well. They actually started as a hip hop group with 2 of the rappers being from the underground scene. They have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. I would recommend watching A Guide to BTS members the bangtan 7 to learn more about them first. Songs I would recommend are: Black Swan Run BTS dance practice Cyphers 2 and 3 by the rapline. (Color coded version so you can read lyrics) Room Live Festa 2021 (their lives are insane)

Eh, It's unfair to say Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance "don't really represent who they are as artists". Sure, the songs don't have a deeper meaning, but it still represents who they are, just not who they are ENTIRELY. *All* of their songs represent who they are.
@bl00dFairy Жыл бұрын
@@Jimins__Pookie I get what you are trying to say. To me though, while it represents who they are (as amazing human beings wanting to use those songs to give hope to global listeners during pandemic), it doesn't as artists. Why? Because what I meant was specifically on a basis of their creative direction and lyricism. They typically write, produce, or have creative control over their own songs, but those 3 were written and produced by others from what I know. That's why I said that. Yes, they made it their songs, and they perform it perfectly, but I just don't think it's a representation of who they truly are as raw artists. When I hear RM talk about the matter, that's the message I get from him too. Don't know if you're Korean but there are things that get lost in translation and I feel like when hearing RM talk, I get that he feels a certain way about sticking to his roots as a artist and poet. Hey, I could be wrong but that's just my opinion and read on it.

the guy you mean is named Jimin. BTS is a group with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, they have 3 English songs which were released during the pandemic including dynamite which aims to provide encouragement during the covid pandemic. Besides Korean and English, BTS also makes several songs in Japanese. BTS has many genres of music, hip hop, ballad, pop, latin pop, r&b etc. if you know that one of the bts members named V has just released his solo debut song, "love me again" and "rainy days" which were just released today, this music is in the r&b genre with V's distinctive baritone voice..

You have found BTS at the right time, not only can you hear all of there work from over the past 10 years but you can experience their individual talents and music taste as they have all released their own individual tracks while they have had some down time while preparing for their mandatory military enlistment. Two are serving already one has announced he will be joining shortly and the remaining four will no doubt go in by the end of this year, probably December, for a promised reunion in 2025. Sad for all of us ARMY, the only good thing to come from it is that we have seen another side of these great guys who have provided us with some incredible music. Enjoy your time with BTS with an open mind, they are worth the time.

71 year old BTS Army here. BTS is the biggest group in the world and has broken long standing records by artists like The Beatles and Michael Jackson. This all English song was their first Grammy nomination and one of 3 all English upbeat songs to cheer up fans during Covid. They now have 5 Grammy nominations. Two are with Coldplay. They also have 11 American Music Awards including Artist of the Year and 12 record setting Billboard Music Awards. Only 68 artists in history have debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and BTS holds the record with 6 songs. Two of the BTS members have also debuted at #1 with recent solo releases, Jimin and their main vocalist Jung Kook. BTS has moved far beyond Kpop and is now a global phenomenon. They have one of the very biggest fandoms on the planet known as the BTS Army. We are very devoted to BTS and very passionate about their music! 💜

BTS members are fans of American pop, hip hop and rock artists and Suga, the one in the basketball court used to play basketball when he was in high school and right now the ambassador of NBA. Dynamite was released in 2020 during the height of the global pandemic. This is also a tribute to Michael Jackson so if you noticed, a lot of their dance moves are MJ inspired. This is their first English songs. They have other two English songs which were released in 2021 "Butter", on May 2021 and "Permission To Dance" on July 9, 2021 (which is exactly he 8th year anniversary of their fans called ARMY). Their 3 English songs were released to spread positive vibes to their fans across the world. Dynamite and Butter got them to be nominated in the Grammy. Their three English songs got #1 in Billboard Hot 100 with their other songs, Life Goes On, Savage Love (Remix with Jason Derulo and members were singing in Korean) and My Universe (with Cold Play and members were singing in Korean). Just this year, "Like Crazy" by BTS_Jimin got #1 on Billboard 100, #2 in Billboard 200 and Billboard Global in April and in July "Seven" by BTS-Jungkook also got #1 on Billlboard 100, Billboard 200 and Billboard Global. They are the only group who got 3 number one albums in less than a year. The last one to do that was the Beatles. They have a wide variety of genres which include, Pop, Hip Hop, Latin Pop, EDM, R&B, Ballad, etc. You name it, they have it. They are all songwriters, composers and music producers. Their English songs, however were written and produced by western songwriters and producers but the members themselves decide whether to perform them or not. Their English songs are not really that deep compared to their Korean lyrics. They usually write songs about their own experiences, mental health, societal injustices, self love and psychological concepts inspired by famous thinkers as well as literature. That's why they become global because the general public can relate to the message they send through their lyrics and music. They have already won over 900 awards including 12 Billboard Music Award and American Music Award with 28 Guinness World Record as a group. They can sold out stadiums in less than an hour. They sold out the legendary Wembley Stadium in 90 minutes and performed for two nights. Getting a BTS concert ticket is like hunger games. By the way, the guy you said with a high note is Park Jimin, main dancer, lead vocalist and my ulitmate bias (favorite). 48-year-old ARMY here. Thanks for reacting to BTS. Borahae💜💜💜

BTS are huge everywhere not just america but i know what you mean, they're also pretty big here in the UK. But insterestingly this song was written by UK/American's, it's one of the rare songs they didn't write themselves. And yes they were big when this came out but they becames even bigger afterwards, it came out in August 2020 as a song to make people happy because of the pandemic. And as you might know by now they do far more than pop, they started as a hiphop group. Not surprised you noticed Jimin's high notes. No not all there music is as americanised they take influenses from all over the place. They also have some very traditionally Korean sounds in their music too.

Welcome to BTS and ARMY. I am 50 year old ARMY from UK, a rock amd metal head until BTS found me in Sept 2020. Just wanted to give you a couple of points because I have watched so many reactors confused. KPop is an entertainment industry, not a genre. All genres can be covered in KPop songs. Where UK and US pop music started with radio, in Korea KPop grew with screens so it is much more visual. An entertainment company will audition and recruit young people from schools, performances, the streets, typically around 30 of them to train them for an intended group. The training typically lasts from 2 to 5 years, constantly tested and cut until the final group remains. Typically KPop idols are thought of as not really musicians/artists bacuse the company will provide their songs, choreo, pay for airti.e on shows etc. Big Hit (now called Hybe) was different. The founder and CEO, Bang Si Hyuk, was different. He values artistic freedom. He did hold auditions and recruited more than the 7 members but he insisted they should write their own stories and allowed them freedom to write, produce, compose. All members do all these things and i think this is why they feel so genuine because the stories are real. They are not brothers but are very close as if yhey were brothers. Dynamite was their first all English song and was to cheer people up during the pandemic. Their orher songs are very deep with poetical lyrics and amazing production. They are also really good humble human beings.

Hi. BTS has only 3 songs in English. The rest are in Korean and a good number are reinterpreted in Japanese. When they released Dynamite (2020) they had already filled stadiums in the USA for a long time and the previous year they filled Wembley Stadium twice without singing a song entirely in English. As is BTS's style, many lyrics have only choruses or small parts in English. Dynamite is very commercial and catchy but it was the intention when it was released, that it would make everyone happy and that they could understand and sing it worldwide. The same goes for Butter and Permison to dance (his other songs in English). Not knowing your musical tastes, I would suggest that you react to ¨Fake love¨ (an MV that shows his artistic phase aesthetically, his dance and the depth of his lyrics and concepts), or ¨Mic drop¨ (his MV that will take you to the extreme completely opposite contextually from the MV you just watched). The usual suggestion: watch with subtitles because BTS's lyrics are impressive (they write or participate in the writing of almost all their songs). Good reaction, thanks.

Basically K-Pop artists are developed by an agency. They used to be very manufactured but most groups now seem to take part in writing and producing their own music. Artists enter the agency as trainees and are put through rigorous training in all aspects of their craft. They train for different lengths of time and may or may not end up being picked as a member of a group. Many leave having never made it through the assessment and elimination process. You’ll need to watch something like A Guide to BTS Members by Taylor Mari to understand how the group was formed and learn who’s who. BTS’ agency was called BigHit entertainment but now it has morphed into the Hybe Corporation and BigHit music is a division of what is Noel a global company. South Korea is very traditional still and little English is spoken there. They are very advanced technologically but they are not Americanised as far as I can tell. Their culture is vey much their own.

You should definitely check out their other music, and go back to some of the old stuff from their first few years. This song is really catchy, and I agree it might sound formulated, but that was the intention. I think it was the first all English song they put out to really break out in the US. BTS was definitely a massive band in Korea and globally at this time (sorry, reacting to your reaction while I watch video). Dynamite is a good place to start, but it is just the tip of the ice berg and their music is so varied. It's a rabbit hole to fall into, as is k-pop in general. (Lots of people react to k-pop songs and BTS, so you shouldn't have to worry about getting blocked.)

Would love your reaction to more BTS. Not sure what genre you prefer but they have something for all genres. They are super talented artists whose music has healed millions! They say BTS finds you when you need them most. I never knew they existed but last month I was going through a monumental depression with suicidal thoughts and somehow I stumbled upon a video about how the music industry is afraid of BTS and then in my feed was something about a choreographer reacting to “Jimin” which led me to look up BTS and long story short, this chronically depressed middle aged American woman found a new lease on life through the inspiration, healing and self love messages within the BTS catalog of songs. So now when I find myself sinking back down to the abyss, I first watch the mesmerizing performance of “Serendipity” by Jimin and then Dynamite and Run BTS, etc. It also gets me excited watching new people discover them, so thank you and I hope you will react to more from BTS! My suggestions: Black Swan (MV) Butterfly (soft melodic) Mic Drop w/Steve Aoki (banger with some rap mixed in) (MV) Born Singer (live performance) I Need U (2015) MV Dope (MV) Truth Untold (vocal line) Fake Love 11:10 Blood Sweat and Tears Too many to choose just a few! Watch their RAP LINE songs .... Dynamite was made to cheer people up around Covid blues. Also PERMISSION TO DANCE, and BUTTER are similar, but in many ways are not typical. I found BTS through their RAP line. RM, SUGA ( aka Agust D) and J Hope who recently had a sell out mainline concert at LOLLAPALOOZA in many ways as far from this as you can get. Strictly speaking it is impossible to understand this mega group as they have record breaking hits from multiple genre from Hip Hop to Latin Pop, EDM, to R&B and many more. Their huge fan base will love to see you react to the highly entertaining TAYLOR MARI GUIDE TO THE BANGTAN 7....the last reactor I saw complained that his cheeks hurt from smiling too much. It will tell ARMY which BTS rabbit hole to send you down, the snippets of songs will help us...its all great but I love their RAP because of the meaningful lyrics. Though a lot of their lyrics speak about deep issues personal, societal and professional. There are explaination videos that help. My personal way of watching BTS is live performance, explaination video and then official music video or dance practice video.

You said very Americanized and typical boy band. You aren’t wrong. My personal opinion is that they were getting tired of being overlooked by American radio, being used by the Grammys and other music shows to up their falling viewership but not giving them an award. But even more, they wanted something to cheer up people world wide during the pandemic. This song is played everywhere but doesn’t begin to showcase their real talents.

As long as you show the beginning Big Hit Credit, you won’t get blocked for copyright because BigHit wants you to interact with it on KZbin.
