I'm over 60 and from the south, my parents always taught me to never talk about politics, religion, or how much money someone earns... that advice has always served me well 😊

Years ago when my hubby's aunt, uncle and family was moving in to their new house. Hubby, his Dad and other family members were "helping" them move in. Hubby, Dad and another uncle was bringing in another load of heavy furniture. They noticed there was no one else around. They went looking for the family they were "helping". They found them in the dining room eating pizza. They thought the uncle had left to go pick up something they needed from the store like light bulbs. No he left to pick up dinner for his family. Snuck in when hubby and company wasn't looking. Then didn't ask if they wanted anything. Asked how it was going, if they had carried in all their heavy stuff then continued on eating. They emptied out their vehicle, then left. Did not go for another load. Hardly ever did anything with that part of the family unless it was a full family event. The uncle with hubby still helped his sister and family out when she asked but not the bil.

Four score and like seven years ago😂😂😂 made my day…Thanks Mikey! It’ll be America’s gain when you’re finally here!!! Do you have any idea of how long, timewise, it will take to become a citizen?
@mikeyreacts234 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s minimum 5 years before you can get citizenship unfortunately, but I’m sure that time will fly by!!
@mikeyreacts234 Жыл бұрын
And also thank you, that means a lot! I honestly cannot wait!

@@mikeyreacts234 I knew it was quite a bit of time…and I’m sure it will pass quickly! I’ve seen several people, most involved in cable or tv news, that were quite emotionally moved when they finally became citizens! It moves me as well, thinking that something that I received by virtue of birth, is so coveted by others! It makes me very protective of our freedoms and determined NOT to take them for granted!!! I think it was Regan who said that we were but one generation away from losing our liberty…our current administration has pushed that point to the forefront of my mind!!!

Hi Mikey, I have loved Lawrence's videos since he started. One thing you can look forward to when you get to Florida is the food. The variety and flavors might take you a while to get use to but if your pallet can take it you will love it. Just have self control so you don't gain too much weight. That is the one thing my wife and I were disappointed with when we went to London. Most of the food was bland. Not sure how the country that concurred the world in search of spices ended up that way. 😉 I don't think I have seen you react to Jolly. They recently were in the South West USA and they are British KZbinrs that were trying out various foods when there. I think you would enjoy that.

The comparison to the modern hesitation marker "like" back in my youth of the 60's was "you know", as in "I'm you know going you know to the you know library".

Mikey have you seen Reagan’s speech to the British Parliament? It’s pretty good!
@stpaley Жыл бұрын
i don't know if "like" is all that generational, my mother who was born over 80 yrs ago was accustomed to saying it herself, more than me

I can't fathom telling people about my finances . It's rude. First thing I'd say if someone came up to me and asked how much money I make would be why do you need to know? Laurence is wrong. Even if I were rich I still wouldn't be comfortable telling anyone how much was in my bank account
