you can score by just reaching the tip of the ball over the white line, your body doesn't even have to cross it, that's why you see alot of players in this video reaching with the ball in their hands over the white line whilst in mid air and falling out of bounds

The regular season starts on September 8th. Why wait 'till February to watch a game? Pick a team, it doesn't matter which one, and follow them through the season. You'll get more out of the sport with a vested interest in a particular team whether or not they make it all the way to the Superb Owl.

9:00. It does not matter where he is until his feet hit the ground. Only the ball has to break the endzone box (normally I would say plane but in this case it was in the corner and the ball had to be inside of or touching the orange cone. That is why he was all stretched out, to make sure the ball was in the endzone. Unlike rugby a touchdown does not actually require a touch down of the ball.

There's two things that shouldn't happen on a football field: A quarterback running over a defensive lineman and anyone should not be tackled by a kicker. 6:33 Lawrence Taylor made the tackle one-handed. He was that good.

8:19. The defense was downing the ball at the 2 yard line and that is where the other teams offense will start. If it goes into the endzone or is touched by someone whose feet had been in the end zone then it would have been a touchback and the offense would have started at the 20 yard line. Note I watched some of your college football videos earlier and this is an instance where pro and colleeg football differ. In college football if the ball passes the plane of the endzone then it is a touchback no matter if someone bats it back out or not.

Yellow flag signifies that there was a penalty on the play. On that play the Defensive Back interfered with the Receiver, since the penalty was against the defense the score is good. Your body position can be out of bounds as long as; 1. No part of your body touches the ground. 2. The position of the ball remains in play, on the field.

If the guy gets the ball past that yellow line on the field it means they've made a 1st down. Then they have 4 more tries or downs to get another 10 yard 1st down.

There is canadian football. There are several difference but enough the same that US players can start or end their careers there and cnadian players can end up in NFL. Differences include only 3 downs instead of 4, the recievers can move before the ball is hiked (put into play) and their field is a little wider and end zones bigger. Also officials use red flags instead of yellow ones. Their championship is for the Grey cup i believe.
