5:42 The exact moment Rebecca is totally on Ted's side. She's figured out that there's no act of cruelty she can inflict on Rupert; that can hope to match what he can deal out against her. He's always going to win a race to the bottom.
@Punchgirl48 ай бұрын
Hannah is such a wonderful actress. The pain that she’s trying to hide when Rupert tells her about the baby is just heartbreaking, it helps us understand what she gave up for him and how he is still trying to deliberately hurt her. We can appreciate why she wanted to hurt him back, even if she went about it the wrong way. She deserved all the plaudits that she received.

I appreciate how Coach Beard’s angry comments start by drawing the distinction between coaching young athletes and coaching pros: *of course* you don’t put that kind of pressure on kids, they’re kids! But, these are professionals; this is their livelihood, and not doing it well negatively impacts them (and possibly their families). It’s a well constructed argument (as opposed to just browbeating Ted into doing what Beard wants).

I know it wasn't in the KZbin edit, but I will never not mention that the "Brunet Oscar the Grouch" joke basically lead to Roy's actor Brett Goldstein getting to be on an episode of Sesame Street, where he met the real Oscar the Grouch! It was basically a dream come true for Brett, who grew up loving the Muppets, and it is absolutely worth looking for clips from his episode and his Insta posts about filming it for the feels :)

Tea V. Coffee: My Dad was first generation Canadian, my grandparents having emigrated from England. My mom was a War Bride from Reddish, close to Stockport. I grew up in a very Tea Centric house. I hated tea, and thought "Pigeon Sweat" a very apt description. By the time I had my first taste of coffee, it was "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE". I was 20 or so when I did my own tour of the U.K. I think Douglas Adams based the Arthur Dent bit about never being able to get a decent cup of tea in the Universe on my adventures trying to get a decent cup of coffee.

I had the good fortune to watch this one with some fellow fans of the game here in the US. When Roy said (with disdain) "..or play in America - where I'd dominate, by the way.." we all fell out laughing. Our old first division league (NASL) folded in the '80s because salaries for older stars from Europe/Latin America were so high. I think Pele was 40yrs old when he played in New York! Our new first division (MLS) has a salary cap, except that a club can have three "Designated Players" you can pay whatever the club can afford. Fans actually call it the 'David Beckham Rule' because it was created for him when that Spice Girl he married wanted to move to Los Angeles. 😄 It's also how Messi ended up in Miami, BTW. Probably Alba and Busquets, too.

We actually watched a video on the channel all about the history of the MLS and the David Beckham rule! Very interesting!

@@DNReacts , I still think the reason Messi & his old buddies are in Miami is because Becks owns a share in the club. I can imagine the phone call..'Hey, Leo! You should come play in America! The weather's great if you pick the right place, so is the food.' 🤣
