The TV series is called Commando on the front line. The book was released with the series and is called, Commando. They were both the idea of the film maker Chris Terril who actually went through Commando training to get a feel for The life of a marine. (he didnt do any firearms training and was a non-combatent while in afghanistan.

greetings from las vegas ! i saw a doc. on royal marine commando training...... holy shit, they are no joke! 8 months of hell, which is more than a us navy seal does. I take my hat off to these warriors.

Haha I agreed. He just followed them around like a house dog, and the gunfire didn't bother him. I thought it was funny when he was standing watch, like he thought he was human, and that it was his duty to stand watch.

Instead of using a Sparrowhawk, they could've used a AA-12 or any kind of shotgun to make the trees collaps but it might be a waste of ammunition.

hahahhahaha, thats funny. Maybe thats because im actually a person on here who was actually on active duty and been depolyed to the 'shit' twice. i did 6 years with the navy(US NAVY obviously, lol)......and was able to see the SEALs train OFTEN, and i do mean OFTEN. After seeing the full 8 month doc. on the royal marines, i kinda came to the conclusion that ROYAL MARINE COMMANDO = US NAVY SEAL . I think its pointless to say one is better than the other, BOTH ARE ELITE OF THE WORLD
