Because of critics, Liziqi started showing the entire process in 3x speed so she could show that she was doing the work herself and not bringing in a crew of people to do it. It was a shame because it took away from the usual peacefulness of her earlier videos. She did it for a while and then stopped. Now she ignores the haters.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one who hates the speedy scenes. Was so uncomfortable seeing them. But did she really stop that?I remember seeing them in the recent videos.Tell me if I was wrong.

Some people who said it’s fake cuz they’re jealous of her success. Take a close look of Liziqi’s hands. Her hands are callused, which means she does a lot of work by herself
I'm Vietnamese. I know her from her earliest videos. Look at Ziqi's hands that are not as beautiful as they used to be. Sorry my english isn't good. But I want to say SHE'S NOT FAKE.

She is amazing... she is using the China ancient way to beat the cotton to fluff up in order to make mattress stuffing...

I believe that she does all these things by herself. When you live in a rural area, you HAVE to learn how to make everything on your own. You don't have the luxury to just go to the supermarket or Ikea to get bedding. My mother grew up in the countryside in Malaysia until her young adulthood. She would grind coconut, make coconut oil, coconut milk and sell it at the markets. Her family also had a vegetable garden and would hike the mountains to get fruits. She worked in the palm plantations her extended relatives owned and made palm oil. They planted soy beans and made tofu, soy milk etc to sell as well. They built their own house, their own furniture, dog their own well... This was how life was back in the days, and a lot of the stuff that Liziqi shows in her videos is a lost art. Many people still live this way in rural areas of China.
China has many traditional arts and crafts that are slowly disappearing with industrial modernization. Li Ziqi 's videos have captured all these traditional arts and crafts that will have a significant historical impacts for the next generations. She is a very unique person to be able to have many of these skills in her generation.

I remember when I was little there use to be a craftsman come around our community to fluff up the cotton. I believe they do that so that it has a better insulation and would stay warmer. We use to have them fluff up every few years until we no longer use traditional cotton quilt and changed to down blankets.

The bow-shaped instrument is a very traditional utensil and method to loosen the cotton. I thought there was no longer exist of such manual method. I last saw this was about 45 years ago in Hong Kong.
I love how she decorated using the dried dead cotton...it’s like a little reminder of the season and what u did that day.

Cotton -filled quilt, mattress and winter clothes are very warm and comfortable. ❤️ Cotton has played a very important role in the traditional lifestyle, especially in Northern China where winter is very cold.

The method is called 弹棉花 literally it means to fluff up the cotton. Nowadays this method has been replaced by machines and it is hardly seen in cities. The purpose of that is to fluff the cotton up, to get rid of wanted substance such as seeds or leaves, and also to realign the fabric to make it a whole piece. That is all I know, lol after consulting my mum. When she was little she saw this. Before Chinese New Year, families would replace their quilts, mattress for festival season.
This is definitely not fake. As someone who has grown up in the village living similar life, now living in urban areas, I can vouch that this is not fake. There probably are more people helping her in the process (which is necessary) however doesn't take away the credit she has earned as she is heavily involved on it. The whole process is exactly similar to how my grandmother used to make quilt from cotton. It takes a lot of effort and patience. Before the winter, when we needed new quilt, the whole family would help in making the quilts (5 to 6 quilts at a time). I even remember the sweet taste of cotton flowers when it is raw.

I can watch her videos for a whole day. Very enjoyable!
It is quite complex to make a bed of quilt by hand. I have only saw some craftsman pluck the string to soften raw cotton……And the upper layer of cotton strings are almost invisible cause everything are white!

Big fan of li ziqi from nepal 🇳🇵 love from nepal 🇳🇵❤️
you can buy an electric blanket, down comforter, or wool blanket in the department store nowadays. Chinese had cotton comforter back then for hundred of years. the best cotton comforter is "silk cotton". the downside of it is it absorbs moisture and becomes compact over time, and too bulky.

TO 英国杰克 British Jack: This is the basic step of the application of "cotton" inherited in China 5000 years ago. Whether it is making clothes, quilts, or bedding (mattresses), they must go through this process to make them.... PS...This is translated using GOOLGE 這是中國5000前年來傳承的"棉花"應用的基本步驟,不論是做衣服、被子、被褥(床墊)都要經過這樣的程序去製造。

I think that the cotton was made into a bed for her grandma - a mattress
All bamboo loses it colours after awhile. Hence the beige colour. That is basically everything that made out of rattan. I bet you cannot find any green one
