Trust me I'm English and we aren't all like that. These mothers seem more upper class just by their voice. If you heard English people from more rural areas it'll be very different. We are very more direct. But these type of English people aren't as direct. English people are known to be very direct so these people don't really represent how most of the english population act.

You can be honest without having to be rude. In this case, when they say "but" it is to refer that a person could use an improvement in that certain area and there is nothing wrong with that/being specific. Cause they are not raised to believe their worth as a human being is not depending on the amazing-ness of their apple crumble. They know is just an apple crumble. Moms from the States who are “STAY AT HOME moms” whose entire worth as a human is within how clean she keeps her house, and how good her food is tasting. Imagine sharing a home with a partner and not lift a finger to make sure the house is clean, kids have all the things they need for their well being, and then add demand cooked meals all year round throughout the day served by your partner. It’s no wonder those moms turned nasty considering their miserable unpaid housekeeping situation (instead of being treated like a loving family member). They are not getting their needs met when they just tend to their family member’s needs but no one stops to ask if the mom is ok or if she could need a hand. The family’s well-being is 100% her responsibility. *This video is lovely, and it was a delight to see how kind they are! They don’t make it into a breaking down the other one’s characters type thing like the stay at home moms did.*

@wullaballoo2642
@wullaballoo2642 4 жыл бұрын
You need really cold small cubes of butter and rub them into the flour with the finger tips so it's like large buttery breadcrumbs. The crumble topping can sometimes bake a bit hard so before assembling it on top of the fruit, spread it out on a baking tray and cook for between 1 and 2 minutes to ensure a light crunchy topping. I once made toffee apple crumble, cooked the apples in a brown sugar and butter syrup. It was almost too sweet but very nice. Next time I do that, I'll use less sugar in the crumble topping.

@@whateveridc6525 In New Zealand, giving somehting "full makrs" or a perfect score is not really something we like to do either. It has a touch of arrogance that Kiwis do not really like (we often feel the same way with giving totally crappy scores) and just feels a bit rude. It seems to be similar in the UK. Meanwhile Americans, Canadians and Australians often seem to want to go perfect 10s or Perfect 0s and have no issue giving themselves a perfect 10 lol.
