I'm romanian I've met and worked with bulgarians and we've got along very well, but there's people and people, probably that bulgarian you know, who hated romanians had a bad experience with someone from Romania and turned that into a stereotype. And yeah with the italians and spanish someting clicks everytime we meet, even though we have different customs, it's probably our latin roots and our languages share many similarities, in vocabulary and grammar. Can't wait to see the video where you're learning romanian. Keep up the good work.

Yeah we have our own currency call Leu (lion) fun fact, Bulgaria's currency is called leva which also means lion , and I'm Romanian myself but haven't been to 90% of the places..

I live in Transylvania , in Cluj-Napoca city , and the forrest Hoia Baciu is near the city . I walk my dog once a week there and it's pretty strange but I dunno ,I like it, I have a strange feeling everytime I go there ,maybe just because of all the stories...

- some Bulgarian are envious on us (we're kinda their competition, haha), most tho consider us their fam - Hoia forrest is scary af, not many ppl went there and came out, really spooky. I wouldn't go there if you'd put a gun on my head. It's told to be one of the top 3 scariest places on Earth. - other known ppl with Romanian origins: Natalie Portman, Wynona Ryder, Harvey Keitel, Fran (The Nanny)

Untold is the biggest music festival, actually. Afterhills is, I think the fourth festival after Neversea and Electric Castle. It's a pretty new festival, tho. In 2020 there was a new festival planned, but due to the pandemic, they couldn't organize it. In other words, there is a big festival in nearly every region of the country. It is planned, for 2023, to have a new festival in Timisoara, as the city will be the European Capital of Culture, and there will be the same organizers from Untold and Neversea. I am really curious to see how it turns out :))

The Hoia forest is in Cluj (the 2nd largest city), and it's nothing unusual. When I was young I heard stuff like "clocks and phones go crazy because of some magnetic fields or something", but right now I think that even this isn't true

Yes Hoia Baciu is said to be the most haunted forest in the world. There are a lot of creepy things there such as shadows, ghosts, voices, portals. People that visited this forest said that in there they saw lights flashing out of nowhere and heard something whispering and they were feeling sick and also caused blindness. Never visit this forest if you don't wanna get posted. Good luck :-)

i'd like to add a very ,not exactly underrated, but not very popular although it should be, music festival ... 3 Smoked Olives ... it happens over the spam of like 5-7 days , and it takes place on an island on the Danube river, in between Romania , and Bulgaria !!! it's amazing ... the sunrises and sunsets you get, the people ... ( P.S. we do consider Moldavians our brothers, we even have our own "nickname" for them : ' our brothers from across the Prout ' .... P.S.2... the correct version of the saying about our best friend , being the Black Sea is half true ... it's friendS ... the Black Sea and Serbia, because we are more or less the only 2 countries in Eastern Europe that never went to war with each other , and we are both Orthodox )

I went to Hoia Baciu forest with a friend of mine in 2021's summer. He told me that the scariest thing he experienced whilst we camped there over night , was my snoring . We could even download a Harry Potter movie on our phone there, so...internet works ok there.

Bro', i work with bulgarians and they are awesome people, but there are some that don't like Romania because we are doing better probably, there are people who hate, out of nothing. On the other side, you will never see romanians speaking about hating bulgarians. But we are not like brothers. We just visit each other, we are going all the time to their part of the sea, wich is not more nicer, but is more quality, that is true. But they have to admit that Romania is doing much better, and if you dont belive me, well... Bulgaria is no1 country in the world who has the most decreasing population. Why do you think they left the country? Romanians also left the country, but we are coming back after a while, we love our "switzerland of the east". And people also start to have a better life in Romania. Don't understand me wrong, i get along very well with bulgarians, they are awesome people, but there are people who hate for no reason, wich i think is stupid to do that, in Romania you will find also stupid people that hates. We don't have that much problems with any of our neighbors. All you see on TV is just political warfare. Bulgarians, hungarians, ukrainian minorities live in Romania...YESSS they sometimes make a bit of a fuss about independency and claiming autonomy but nonetheless, most of the people in these minorities live in peace , they don't cause any trouble, most of them (99%) are friendly and they REALLY LIKE TO BE FRIENDLY, I mean...if you get into a house in Maramures as a tourist and you don't get drunk or well fed, then they consider that they were disrespectful towards you and immediately apologize :D So...no, there are isolated cases where are "conflicts" between romanians and minorities that live in Romania, but we all love each other...i think!

Soo this was pretty good I would say. Just a few comments: Romania was and is at crossroads and everyone who came by wanted a piece of it because of its great natural resources and access to the Black Sea. Considering it’s a small country, the fact that survived culturally its amazing, however it got chopped and pulled apart by every big military power that had a say especially after world war 2 and prior to that. Roman Empire did not romanize the whole country as they could only get a hold of roughly 16% of the land and couldn’t make it further because of the heroism of our ancestors the Daci! Romanians defended these lands since ancient times and this is how the language did not dissolve. There are many influences from everyone Romania has a border with but it’s minimal considering. We also attribute this to the mountains which served as shield to all that came to conquer. Transilvania was and is Romanian land which Hungary always claimed as theirs. There is a lot of information that proves otherwise. Moldova was also part of Romania but taken away because Russia wanted it and the list goes on..... I don’t think Romanians and Bulgarians have any serious issues, maybe some isolated cases and maybe on personal levels rather. There are so many amazing things in this country and it produced so many amazing people who had a great contribution to mankind, historically, culturally and many more aspects.

BTW.... to my Knowledge the land between one Danube arm travelling to the north splitting the land between the rest of the country and the Black Sea, ending in Delta it’s not “DOBRUJA” but currently called “DOBROGEA” . Dobruja I believe it’s the ancient name of this land.... I was born there.
