We do NOT dip the pancakes in the pea soup (ew), we eat the pea soup first and then have the pancake as a dessert.

The cray fish parties, with the hats, are usually in August.

This video has so many mistakes it should be marked as misinformation. 1. We do not dip the pancakes in the pea soup. 2. We do not eat pyttipanna for breakfast. 3. There are two variants of Smörgåstårta; warm and cold. They have different ingredients. 4. No mention of kebabpizza or scandinavian tacos. 5. Almost every dish is pronounced wrong.

japp, jag störde mig så mycket det, bra att du nämnde det så att jag slapp

Never had a warm smörgåstårta, never even heard of it. I dont know if its just because i live where i do, but never knew it existed. Pronounciation for a non swedish is fine. Its not like they learn every language or words of the countries they make videos about. But things like Lingon and kroppkakor should be added.

@@johncenashi5117 I am 70 years old, have lived my entire life in Sweden and have never ever heard of a thing like warm smörgåstårta. If it exists it must be a really local thing.

Pickled herring is stored in a glass jar, not in a tin can as in the film. That's a totally different dish that is very smelly.

For some, me included, the Crayfish party in late summer is more important than Christmas

Whereas it for others, me included, is quite unthinkable to eat crayfish - scavengers which are boiled alive and eaten in the most disgusting way. 🤢

As a Swede, I have to admit, our food looks pretty bad. But we have many great sweets and desserts though.

The descriptions of a lot of the foods are very off.

semla is kind of just like a bread with whipped cream and custard. The torta and kanelbullar(cinnamon buns) is delicious :P
@jonaskarlsson63029 ай бұрын
Semla is a cardamom bun filled with almondpaste, whiped cream and topped with icing sugar. You either eat it as is or in a plate of hot milk. And it is amazing.
@moondaughter10049 ай бұрын
@@jonaskarlsson6302traditionally that is. I've tried chocolate semla and coffee semla

It really pisses me off when all those videos never ever get the correct pronounciation of IKEA - since it's a Swedish company it should be pronounced like "ee-keh-ah" and NOT "eye-kee-ay". How difficult can it really be to get it right?
