Kaleb Acuña again, that's not even close to being accurate, I can list dozens of films and shows right here and now that have main casts/lead actors who aren't generally/universally considered as good looking. Think about all of the film and TV out there that is not aimed at young audiences, especially productions outside of America and Hollywood, where having good looking characters isn't a requirement. I can honestly think of over a hundred productions (on tv, film and theatre), that I've seen, where the entire main cast consisted of either fat, balding, old, disabled, or extremely unconventional looking lead actors. You see it more in independent art house type productions, and in a lot of productions outside of the USA. But there are still films that have even come out of Hollywood where the lead actor/actors aren't "pin ups". I watched that film' Precious' a few nights ago. How many people would honestly consider Gabourey Sidibe to be good looking?
