This was the first season I caught these races on T.V. Here in the States, the speed channel began an all out blizt of coverage with 5 different Touring Car Series coverage. I've been hooked, every since. God Save The Queen. We Mean It Man.

There aren't any Opels in the video. But you probably mean one of Yvan Muller or Colin Turkington in 888 built Vauxhall branded Astras.

It was in 1994 with Rickard Rydell and Jan Lammers. Even though they looked wierd they had good pace towrads the end of the season. I was supporting Ford at the time with Paul Radisich. Hope that helps?

Great to watch on TV, better to watch in real life. Sadly the telly just can't deliver the excitement of hearing the exhausts as they accelerate and change gear off the line. It's a cocophony of synchronised BANG, BANG, BANG!

I do agree with you. Anyway best touring car were seasons '98/'99... :-| Try to think about a season with BMWs, Peugeot, Alfa, Seat, Audi, Volvo, Renault, Honda... and more and more... That would be the best. Really dunno why all these teams do not come tourism.

no it is Vauxhall ............. Opel has nothing to do with this racing series. If that would be Opel ..... they would put some cars in WTCC under Opel name .... but .... they have ther Chevrolet allready .... becouse its all GM .... was

I've been a NASCAR fan for a few years, and I will say this. Compared to these guys, NASCAR is just a 180 mile an hour parking lot. And that is BORING. NASCAR needs to 1) Do away with the yellow line bullshit 2) Allow the good old bump drafting and 3) Man up and let them race. Or start a Touring Car circuit in America.

I couldn't believe what I was watching. So much agressive driving! F1 has the best drivers, and best cars, but watching it is like watching a parade. Most positions changes done through pit stops. Yawn. British touring cars are amazing!
