One of the coolest rally cars ever

My first rallying love. A TR7 V8. Only way it gets better in when Tony Pond or John Buffum are behind the wheel. A dream machine for me.

Lovely sounds, thanks! The Group 44 IMSA TR7 V8 is pretty awesome too. This is the same engine that powers the Rover SD1 3500 Vitesse and early TVR S and Tuscan V8s.

Rover TR7V8 at full chat, love it. It makes you want one, and I do.😊

When rallying had real cars and not whined up toys that crackle and pop. Love the video ❤

That's changed my view of TR7s!

Sounds glorious, before rally cars become utterly dull and boring

The interesting thing about these are that the TR7 factory rally cars ( which had a 4 cylinder engine stock ) used the 3.5 liter Rover V8 before the road going V8 powered TR8 was in production, not sure how they got around the strict homologation rules with that, but they did, and it`s a fun fact :)

I love that awesome sound from the 3.5 liter! The gas foot itches again! 🤤 My 407 has to suffer again...

Remember pop-up headlights? Why don't we bring them back?

Interesting engine the Rover V8, The 3.5 lt 215 cubic inch alloy engine was bought from Buick (GM) and I've pulled many apart :-) Very much a small block Chev in many ways and they can be built cheaply and reliably for many applications with a simple cam change.

That's probably the best use of the Fugly things, you could write off one rallying and nobody would be too upset.
