DOYOUNG’S VOICE is honestly one of my favorite voices. And not just in Kpop but like, ever. Period. I love the sound, the tone, the strength, the tenderness of his voice. It’s like honey in my ears. Seriously his voice is so amazing

Most reactors tend to comment more on Taeil DY, and HC. And mainly focus on Jaehyun’s visuals. Albert pointed out a strengthen of Jaehyun’s I haven’t heard others mention. I have noticed that Jaehyun is often given the lines that are meant to create a distinct vibe/set the mood/tone especially in B-sides.

@@rfmmike6096 Like Yuta, he seems to get more Lines on B-sides like on the Sticker albums and I think it also has to do with how 127’s sound changed after Cherry Bomb. Jaehyun has good technique but his range may hurt him in terms of line distribution. Like in Golden Dust, you could tell he is singing on the higher end of his falsetto/range. Luckily, it seems they trying to give Jaehyun more lines by having him rap more too. Jaehyun def got more lines since the sticker album and in 2 baddies mostly rap but sang in the bridge

Thanks for the thoughtful analysis of this fantastic group. I think their group dynamics of respecting one another's talents and their joy of performing with their other members makes this group so wonderful. Each one adds their piece to the songs to make the magic. NCT 127 always catches the vibe of the song and conveys that through their performance. I love this group.

Since it’s not being mentioned here in the comments, I will say: thank you so much for appreciating Doyoung’s husky, smooth and airy vocals which doesn’t always get mentioned just cause he’s often in the background making killing harmony (and yes he definitely and very easily belt in many tracks including that same track BACK 2 U a few bars after the song got cut off here and therefore not shown, in FROM HOME, in COMING HOME, and many more). I’m glad Johnny’s very interesting and attractive vocal and Jaehyun’s magnetic deep vocal are being acknowledged, as they are also (most especially Johnny) often under appreciated or oversighted by first time listener/reactor. And yes, you got the right fact: that NCT leader is definitely lit so I’m glad you recognized that in him while doing his always quirky dance…and yes he sings - especially in his solo works among others LONG FLIGHT, LONELY, GHOST, BLUE, FINE…and his written lyrics are very deep, so please do check them if you’re really interested to check his vocals further. im glad i watched the whole thing because as i predicted albert would articulate well what he meant - as in throwaway comments whilst he was watching. jaehyun stan - not surprised he's so talented. nice johnny shoutout - i think his voice is being utilised much better in their discography now than it did before ty track - a G 127 is very much more rnb expecially getting to their bsides where as their title tracks are a more pop leaning i get the taeil comments. he does have access to those dynamics but he rarely gets to show them in nct songs because he can handle the most vocally challenging parts hence why he gets them. but then dividing the song between the members there isn't much else (technically but that's a discussion on prioritising the song or line distribution) there are lots of different vocal tones and quite a few well rounded members which make them enjoyable to listen to imo

I do agree with Albert though !! Taeyong has a really pretty tone and he does suit singing a lot. I think his recent soundcloud release, Fine really showed the improvements Taeyong made in relation to singing. Fine is written and co-composed by Taeyong. I hope you'll consider reacting to FINE cause both the lyrics and the song itself are amazing.

i agree that while taeil has an objectively incredible voice, he has a tendency to stay in that belting spot and it can come off a bit one dimensional sometimes - probably because of the parts he’s given in the song. when he deviates from it and relaxes, it’s amazing

yeah I think SM just pushes him into the belter position most of the time. I know they do something similar to Chen from Exo, he's expressed the desire to deviate from high-note belting before. For Exo, they assign lines and parts to the member whose voice fits the part best. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same for NCT. Taeil is the most stable belter, so SM deviates to him most of the time. I agree - its super limiting, and makes him seem one-dimensional.

I love being able to hear your perspective on different members. I especially appreciate how you weren't exactly feeling taeil in the beginning but weren't rude and just said it wasn't your preference. He mainly gets those belty lines in their songs so it makes sense to see it that way.

I FINALLY watched this killing voice and came running to this channel. Mind you, I'm not at all a bg stan, at all, BUT I do enjoy some of the music of some. Regarding nct 127...oh I loveeee theeeem. I really appreciate his technique but I prefer something that's not as "piercing" as his voice (I don't know how to describe how his voice sounds higher than it is like he has too good of a vocal cord closure or something... no idea what i'm saying). I'm surprised to hear the reactor having a similar opinion because mostly people keep praising Taeil's voice. I get wowed by his technique too, but don't love his vocal tone. I prefer Doyoung's voice in NCT and Baekhyun from EXO.

I really love nct 127s voices, the members sound great but I didn't like the transitions of the songs. I'm also not a fan of nct songs in general because they sound all over the place to me but they are energetic and I guess it's just preference. Individually the members have awesome voices and are great singers. In my opinion they need songs that make them stand out more. Thank you for the reaction!!!
