Love all of the books, I read 16 of them while pregnant with baby number 4 and fell in love with the name Reacher, which is what I named my son when he was born, my son Reacher has been lucky enough to meet Lee 3 times at book signings and considers Lee his friend as he remembered him and was so happy to see him everytime!!

I have read every Jack Reacher novel I could get my hands on, twice. After spending 30+ years in the US Army (Combat Engineer) and then spent a few years as a local police officer in a town of 50,000 I can somewhat relate to the main character on multiple levels. The first two movies were very interesting and Tom Cruise did a great job in the role, however Alan Ritchson is more appropriate for the size and build of the book’s character. I am very happy to see the series will continue and even be somewhat updated for the times.

I saw the Jack Reacher movie with Tom Cruise years ago on streaming having never heard of the movie or the book and loved it. Later I heard people were complaining that Tom Cruise was too short to play this guy. Luckily I didn't have that issue, having not read the books, and loved it. The second Tom Cruise Reacher movie is not terrible but it's not as good as the first one. The Amazon Prime series was excellent and I highly recommend it. Can't wait until season 2!

All the books are the same and the endings are dialed in and headache inducing. Reacher is a great American character, the end. But the books are all the same and the endings are contrived and tacked-on. He talks about the suspension - well dude, the chassis pokes through at the ending every time. Dude says he was an outsider in his own family - get over yourself. You're writing dime store thrillers - a sub genre, but due to all of his success he's Joycean. The younger brother, as said, has a TOTALLY different voice on the page. A totally different writer but Reacher is an impossibly easy character to franchise out...

However, I'd never laid eyes on Andrew, his brother, so the visuals made it worthwhile! And that place they're building out in Arizona! Yowsa! By the way, there's a marvelous story about how Jack Reacher got his name. If you haven't heard it, go find it. I've re-told it dozens of times myself: it's a hoot!

Have read a lot of them. Am I the only one or does anyone else find them a tad repetitive? "Reacher faced with impossible odds and somehow coming out on top other than the slight cut over his right eyebrow. With the fight finished he walks around the corner and there is the local policewoman looking just like the girl who won Miss America two months before. She goes weak at the knees and they repair to the nearest motel to drink coffee or whatever." And Lee Child is pure English but he's writing in American. Jack is often looking for accommodations and there are drugstores everywhere so it's no wonder America has problems. Not to mention strip malls.

Iee seemed to be getting ready to write reachers last story five or six books ago, reacher started to lose fights, he was also being outwitted, the character was thinking about which person to live with and where they might live. Jack was smart enough to know when to stop That was the right way to finish his life story.
