Cool hearing about his musical interests. I'm currently re-reading his 2007 book "Bad Luck and Trouble". In it Reacher has a hotel reservation made for him under the name Thomas Shannon. Tommy Shannon was Stevie Ray Vaughan's bass player. The SRV reference made me like this book even more than I already did. Just sayin'....

I love the character and the Jack Reacher novels. What puzles me, is how Tom Cruise ever got to play him. Jack was not a midget. Just saying........

The author sold his story to Tom knowing he would play the part. $$$ being his motivation clearly. Tom was already a mega action star. Other action actors did not fit the common looks like Bogart, Alan Lad, short men physically. Some stood on boxes, most wore lifts, co stars stood in holes .
