The magic lantern pictures look like animated Gifs. I LOVED those, especially the ones of nature and the seasons. Thank you for posting! :-)

No, not a mistake! The Magic Lantern has been popular for several centuries. People have been fascinated by moving pictures of some sort or another for a long time :)

I have been fascinated with Magic Lantern use because of references in many books from the 1800s that I read. Also in SteamPunk and even the Old West here in the USA it can be fun to imagine.

I’m here from Red Dead Redemption 2. I saw a magic lantern show in Valentine, and this interested me.

I enjoyed that very much. Has - does - Mervyn Heard ever present(ed) magic lantern shows at BFI Southbank or associated venues?

Watching this in 2023 and wondering if the Eddy siblings used a magic lantern for their seances in Chittenden Vt.

The more elaborate Magic Lanterns could create visual effects similar to the screen-savors on PC monitors

Thanks to the glacial speed of youtube's servers it only took about 20 minutes to watch an 8 minute clip.

It would be great if you acknowledged the composer of the soundtrack, so I'll ask: Who is the composer?
