All of the songs she has written and performed from her creative mind are always locked away from her label so they can push an image. She had no creative freedom with HER music, she has always had no privacy with papparazzi following her, and then she got stuck to where she lost the ability to do what she wants with the money she worked her ass off to get, she lost most of her ablity to be with the kids she loves from the bottom of her heart. Its sad. Its unfortunate that everyone was watching while all of this was happening. Anyway sorry. I got carried away. But there is more to it as well.

Speaking as an attorney and as a neurodivergent, I am so sorry this cruel injustice happened to Brittney. Her subversive use of this song is really bittersweet. The original is about a predatory woman, but, Brit uses her creativity to turn things on their head. She takes the danger, power, impulsiveness, and selfishness of Ace of Bass's seductress and turns it into a shout of injustice, a demand for her rights as a woman, and she names her abuser. I cannot even imagine the trauma and pain she had to process to record this.

She watched the dysfunctional relationship between her mother and father and realized she was replicating that same dysfunctional relationship with other people. Manipulation is not inherently about sex. Remember For the Record? Britney sums it up pretty well. Her father was so sweet sometimes but then he was an asshole now and then. Her mother's book is how about Jamie was an asshole and she tried to leave him so many times -- yet she was so naive that any little excuse or nice thing he did to her would make her change her mind.
