He captivated her so strongly she didn't move past the breakup for a long time. People close to Britney said that she never got over Justin and on many different occasions with close friends she'll bring him up and their past and wonder "what could have been..." If they had worked it out.. I think she misses what was familiar and safe, the Mickey Mouse club was one of the most special times in her life and that is how she met Justin and how it all began so it makes sense. Justin is apparently very sorry for everything despite her fans still attacking him over his immaturity years ago and Britney apparently does know that and does miss him. They had something special, but too much time has past, both completely different people now and been with other people for a very long time now, I think Justin will always care for her but I don't think he's in love with her anymore. I think he's happy with Jessica. Britney still does love Sam but that Justin will always have a special place in her heart, and bc he was her first love that she'll never be able to completely get over it. They were in love but the fame got to both of their heads and it drove them apart and Britney might be dealing with a lot of regret.

She put him on blast in her unreleased songs so she wasn’t innocent their either, but on that point, everyone in someway shades there ex. They just chose to shade with there music. I was a nsync fan during those days and I just want to say Justin doted on Brit like crazy. He would shower her with gifts and follow her on tour whenever he had time. It got to the point where nsync fans were upset because they felt she was taking up too much of his time.
