At 77 yrs young😂 I have never heard another vocalist that has me so mesmerized when he sings. I can’t get enough of his voice, his songs, solo or with QAL. His short but gorgeous aria of Nessun Dorma during a QAL concert in Bologna Italy shows off his classical training and you can tell how he uses it along with his musical stage experience to incorporate it in the pop music world. His vocal ability is unsurpassed!!

Loved your reaction to Closer To You. Adam is a classically trained vocalist, so he has amazing control over his instrument. He took voice lessons for over 10 years while he worked in musical theatre as a child all through his 20's. He was in the play Hair in Germany, Wicked in Los Angeles and the touring company and played the slave Joseph in the Ten Commandments alongside Val Kilmer, so Adam is a seasoned performer. I love Adam with Queen because he feels honored to celebrate Freddie Mercury and considers Brian May and Roger Taylor family. They have worked together for over 10 years, but for me, Adam's solo music is everything. He is unapologetically himself which has given many of his Glamberts the strength to be exactly who they are. Some of my favorite songs are Stranger You Are (Live version), Outlaws of Love and Aftermath (performed on American Idol after his first album came out). Hope you can check them out. Thanks

This demonstration of Adam's vocal chops is a mere tip of the iceberg. It's absolutely mindboggling to hear the full extent of what he can do with his voice. This includes voicing several characters in animated films. Once you've had time to get a broader sense of his music and live performances, check out the voice he created for the devil in A Tale Dark and Grimm which was released in 2021.

This one is pure George Michael. If had my eyes closed I could almost believe he was singing it. Although there are shades of Elton John as well. Elton John and George Michael, Freddie Mercury, and others broke several barriers that gave artists like Adam Lambert a chance to showcase their talents. I completely agree with you BP2. I hear the song Father Figure in this along with the duet of Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me. I truly miss George Michael. I loved his style and music. He was one of my favorites outside of hard rock and metal of course.😉 He was definitely an artist that back in the day I tried(mostly unsuccessfully) to tape songs off the radio as they played using blank cassette tapes.😂😅 I was too broke to buy all the albums or tapes that I wanted to 😅

Please check out the performance that started this ride. It was the finale to season 8 of American Idol and he and Kris Allen were the last 2 standing.. Queen were the musical guests and the finalists got to perform with them. Kris won the show, but Brian May discovered Adam. You can actually see when he sang next to him and loved what he heard. The rest is history. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2encpZ3aLeNerssi=IgTfb9A1iTfROlHS

I'm not familiar with his work, but he has an amazing voice. I totally agree with you about the style of this particular song. If I close my eyes, I would honestly think it was George Michael until he hit certain parts of the song. Indisputably a George Michaelesk style and it's nice to see him filling the gap as you said. Thanks Madison, for a great suggestion. And thanks once a gain, guys for giving some of us a new artist to enjoy and a fabulous reaction.- Hawk

THUMBS DOWN for not reading Adam's bio, even a quick count of the number of studio albums, or a glance to see how many gold & platinum albums he may have earned on his many world tours. I don't assume every Queen fan is arrogant but you two act like Queen found Adam on a street corner when Adam turned Quenn down initially. Every Glambert fan sees QAL as an equal partnership. Adam's still rising and Queen is at an end stage. Adam sings every genre even on his solo albums. He does say that Velvet does encompass the 70's and Queen's sound. You will not find other George Micheal-like songs since Adam is naturally more funk than R&B/Soul.
