Australian Federal Police under a change to Liberal Government years ago managed to shut down the people smuggling operation which based itself in Indonesia. The "clients" would fly into Jakarta from Middle East locations, lose their passports and identification, board a boat for the short voyage and claim asylum. I have lived in the UK for 25 years, have two English children who went CofE schools and have an English partner. Always worked, never claimed benefits, fully integrated, volunteer wherever I can. I never did get social housing as a single parent. I fell into a trap of renting , and I worked full time. Son is now 34. Still nothing 😡 Id be homeless if it wasn't for family renting me a place because my wages wouldnt cover normal rent. 😢 All my life I've paid taxes and now seriously thinking of ways to get out of PAYE and go self employed.
