It’s interesting u both put the butter on last instead of directly on the scone. Is that the way brits normally do it? I haven’t had a scone in awhile but If it’s toast, i would put the butter directly on the toast before putting jelly on top so that the bread can absorb the butter mmmm Also, jelly has no solid pieces of fruit, which is what y’all had.

I live in Philly and love clotted cream. It’s not common here in the US. I grew up eating it since my Mum is English and my Dad Irish. I’m first generation American and have been to England twice the last time I lived there for a year. It always felt like my second home because of my Mum. Miss sausage rolls, pasties, pork pies and a full English breakfast and proper fish and chips we used to get at the barbican in Plymouth that was wrapped in newspaper. Which I think they stopped using.

Since you are familiar with both Philadelphia cream cheese and clotted cream, are they very similar? How is clotted cream different? From the look of it on British shows, I've assumed they were different names (🇺🇸/🇬🇧) for the same thing.

LeBron James switched jersey numbers from 23 to 6 this season for a bunch of reasons that don't make sense to me. It's sort of interesting that there's so much Lakers and LeBron James merchandise in a Philadelphia store. I know James is a superstar, but I'd expect to see 76ers merch. James Harden is currently the biggest star on the 76ers, so why not feature his jerseys? Someone needs to send Joel and Lia some jelly so they can see what it is.

I was a little surprised that the Philly Primark didn't feature 76er's gear, but maybe it's because the L.A. Laker's and LeBron have fans everywhere. I am noticing that it hurts my brain a little to think about travelling to one place and buying a souvenir from somewhere else while I am there. I tend to seek out something that reminds me of or has a connection to where I am (where else will you have that chance?) Maybe they will always associate the Laker's with Philadelphia since that's where they saw them play. Of course, the items are for locals too. I've seen miniature Eiffel Towers for sale lots of places (you can't get them full size anywhere.)

Those scones looked like a proper version of American style scones- they can be made with various added ingredients- or just plain- probably every American family has someone who they claim makes "THE best scones...but the look/shape of the scones served to you were typical....note, tho- "traditional" scone etiquette is to put the butter on first- then the jam/preserves(made with actual fruit)(jelly has no fruit or seeds- is typically made from juice)- and then the cream cheese, if desired....but, really- don't get too hung up on all that...enjoy any way you're inclined....loved the shoot....Wayne Maher - Bellingham, Wa.(State)

Primark is currently east coast only, but I've been to a small one in Massachusetts. The guy's section is really small as it's only 1 floor. Your U.K Primark seems more like an IKEA experience. IKEA? It's not similar in the way of products sold since IKEA is a home/furniture store; however it seems like U.K Primark sells an experience just like IKEA sells an experience. Even though you may not buy furniture, you may go there just to have lunch at the cafeteria buying a cake and sweedish meatballs or go to quick service counter for a hot dog. And the way IKEA exhibits its products through similar to that of a museum or convention exhibition is what separates the fine line between selling an experience as opposed to just being The Home Depot or Lowe's. When you said U.K Primark has its own Harry Potter section and collabs with vloggers, that's what made me think U.K Primark sells an experience rather than just being a department store like Macy's whose main goal is to sell product as opposed to selling an experience. I'm sorry to bother you with my explanation of an experience using IKEA as way to explain how PRIMARK could be selling an experience. You're saying "why is this guy mentioning IKEA when thus video is about Primark?" Well, now you know and can start to observe other places that sell an experience as opposed to just products. This is an insightful comment snd sometimes it takes an analogy of something else to help illustrate how the analogy applies to the main subject at hand. Another more familiar term that you nay have come across is "themed entertainment." However, I believe the purpose of themed entertainment is to sell an experience However, if I were to mention themed entertainment, Disneyland probably would ld be the first thing that pops in your mind. Yes, theme parks are definitely a huge chunk of themed entertainment, BUT themed entertainment doesn't consist of theme parks. It can consists of restaurants, malls even, or something else. However, the problem with calling IKEA or U.K Primark part of themed entertainment, not everyone woukd agree furniture and clothes stores are entertaining. Yes, people love to shop. However, even if we love to shop, we generally don't classify shopping as entertainment. When we think of entertainment, we think of movie theaters, comedy clubs, improv, sporting events, conventions like PAX or E3, or live theater plays or musicals like Phantom of The Opera or Cats. But shopping? That's why I like to call IKEA of The Rainforest Cafe places that sell an experience rather than calling it themed entertainment. It's sm experience. And it's the stellar experience that brings people in. Now, you may think Chuck E Cheese as a place driven by nightmare fuel and 5 nights at Freddy's. But if you have a kid (I don't), they love the experience. The pizza maybe poop 💩 but they go tgere to have fun and turn their tickets in for prices. The rainforest Cafe is another experience your kid may or may not like. It's based on nature and the rainforest, but the food is just OK. Sorry, no games at this place. But it's just a place for the whole family. But what about Olive Garden? Don't they sell an experience. Why iys definitely an experience since anything you do is an experience, there is no theme. It doesn't go above and beyond from simply being s restaurant. Casa - Bonita in Denver, however, is an experience. It's based in Dever Colorado. IF YOU EVER VISIT DENVER JOEL AND LIA, YOU MUST GO TO CASA BONITA. Casa Bonita is not simply a Mexican restaurant. It is an experience. Even the cartoon South Park referenced Casa Bonita. It has cliff divers, a magic show, gift shop, and you can be seated in a variety of settings. It's so big that you may nit see tge magic show dance it's in a different section of the restaurant. It's looks like a hole in the wall restaurant that's in a strip mall. However, as you open tge restaurant doors, you Dysart yo descend DOWNWARDS. You don't see the hostesses/host and waitstaff until you go downstairs. If you read this whole post, you must be a legend.

What the hell is a Primark? Well... I suppose I'm getting an idea. It's a store that contains things. Things one wears and potentially at reasonable prices.

Its only in the northeast so far, but their coming to Miami and Chicago soon. Its the size of a department store with the prices of cheaper stores like Marshall's.

King of Prussia Primark was initially huge, but corporate downsized it years ago. Men's and Home were sacrificed as far as floor space is concerned.

I was so excited when I saw the title... I love a Primark! But unfortunately the men’s section in US is very small. I’m very disappointed LOL.

They probably realized nobody is going to Primark for non clothing items so theres no point. Its competing with Walmart and Target.

I think if they served you British scones, all the Americans would be like, why are you giving me biscuits? 😂 They probably tried a traditional British scone and it didn’t go over well.
