aahhh so cool my bf and I just took this tour when we visited Nashville in the summer and it was definitely worth the ticket price since u can get on and off all day but I will say you really missed out not going to the farmers market stop ...it was by far my favorite stop on the tour because there were so many vendors selling things and an awesome food court if you go back definitely stop and buy some of the georgia peaches they sell there so good 👍
@Invisible_Socks2 жыл бұрын
I live in Nashville and work in a building adjacent to the farmers market. I walk there for lunch usually every day. The vendors really only come out every Thursday through Sunday FYI. But the restaurants are there every day (some are closed on Mondays)

It was cool that my office building was in your video. I have worked on music row for 18 years now and it definitely not what it used to be. Some music companies have moved to other areas of town to newer buildings. It doesn’t have the same nostalgia that it used to because of all of the new construction around there, but I still really enjoy working there, when we’re not working from home that is. You are still just scratching the surface of what all there is to see and do in Nashville.

Another Nashvillian here, who has had those Old Town Trolleys pass right by me many times. Unfortunately, lots of people are not wearing masks even though Omicron is very contagious; I wear one whenever I’m out in public indoors, and sometimes outdoors. The Parthenon is worth stopping and visiting; there’s actually an art museum inside as well as a huge statue of Athena. I’m afraid you weren’t all that close to the Bluebird Café, which is in a part of town called Green Hills and isn’t all that impressive to see from outside, though it’s pretty important inside.

I can't believe that, once again, you visit a chain restaurant instead of trying to seek out restaurants that are unique to the city! There are Panera Bread restaurants in every major U.S. city. Music Row is where most of the major recording studios are for country music. You could have visited RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley recorded many of his hit records. Though I do enjoy Taylor Swift's music, many people will tell you that she's mostly a pop star and not making country music any more. I will give you credit for showing the Parthenon, which is something special in Nashville. Please do your research before you take the trips and show us what's interesting about the city!

For some reason, I associate Panera Bread bakeries with suburbs and malls, not in a city center. At least where I live, downtown eateries are more unique and local.

There should be an Everglades video coming up, and I agree the rock formations, Grand Canyon Etc or must do next time in LA or Las Vegas. There are day trips from everywhere in the region to go to these really impressive once-in-a-lifetime sites. Plus, this is a visual medium and the potential for stunning pictures amongst the Rocks Etc is so much better than yet another American Downtown City which really one looks much like the other.

@7:00 Music Row isn't (or wasn't) about touristy things, it was just the place where a bunch of studios and record labels had their Nashville HQ's. There's not really much to see there because with the advent of the internet, most of the record labels have left and home studios have replaced the formal "storefront" ones. There are SO MANY private studios hidden in the residential neighborhoods surrounding Nashville. Music Row is now slowly turning into a bourgeoise residential and "niche" retail location, as well as businesses that just want to have that prestigious address.

I was driving across America to Florida and went through Tennessee and was absolutely stunned by the beauty of the state! Even using the interstate I crested a hill and came across a valley that would not have looked out of place in the Austrian Alps. A beautiful Lake in a valley surrounded by mountains with sailboats and natural beauty everywhere. Tennessee is beautiful, affordable, has so much entertainment and I think may be one of the next big places that people will move to, and unfortunately ruin, like Austin Texas was in the 90s, Central Florida before that and so forth. But for now, it is fantastic!
