Smash is the name of the running back that Tim doesn’t get along with. Tim is the fullback and ironically he’s the lead blocker for smash almost all the run plays

Coach and Mrs. Coach is the best TV marriage in any show I've ever seen. Their chemistry was so good that when the two actors drove from LA to Texas together so that they could work lines together and continue to develop that chemistry, the producers were terrified they'd wind up having an affair (I believe they were both married at the time; might still be... not to each other, obviously) because of just how palpable their chemistry was to anyone around them.

It also makes a mockery of shows that can't think of anything to do with couples once they get together. It's possible to write a relationship (without a load of drama) that people enjoy watching and that enhances the show.

It's really interesting how they show the head coach (of an amateur high school team) also has to be a politician. All those "boosters" are rich, connected, powerful people in this small town. Coach has to give them his ear and bite his tongue, or else they can get him fired if they're not kept happy.

Coach Taylor always knows the right thing to say on this show to anyone, it's his superpower. OMG haha I would've loved to see Tammy as Assistant Coach lol. She would've whipped them into shape pretty well I bet! Tim is Street's best friend so no surprises he's taking it harder than the others. Tammy and Eric are couple goals for sure.

15:50 Yes it's that loud. You really do have to scream the snap count as loud as possible a few dozen times throughout a game. The day after a game I'd always barely have a voice.

I grew up in Dallas and was the manager of our football team all 4 years. We had something like rally girls and senior year I was joking with the girl in charge of what girl got what player why I didn’t get one and got one. Some of the best cookies I ever had.

If you are looking for more football movies to react to, "Friday Night Light" (2004) is a movie that is a fun watch but also really highlights how big of a deal high school football is in the state of Texas. (High school football in Southern Eastern states literally takes over the town and can put a hell of a lot of pressure on the kids playing.) "Invincible" (2006) is a true story about the Philadelphia Eagles holding open tryouts in the mid-1970 and a 30 year old bar tender attempt to make the team from these tryouts. "The Replacements" is a comedy loosely based on the 1987 NFL players strike where NFL teams went to hire replacement players to play games because negotiations had halted with the NFL Players Union.

"it doesn't seem that bad of a hit". In american football those are the injuries that scare you. If you see a dude's leg get bent under him you know he pulled or broke something but when they go down like Street did you hold your breath.

The thing I always say about Friday Night Lights is that its a show that shouldn't have been as good as it was (although people are right that Season 2 gets weird due to a writers strike). Its not the greatest show ever but its quite good and Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton are amazing.

Hey, I see the Oakland A's will no longer be rooted in Oakland as John "assface" Fisher decided to temporarily relocate tge A's to California's state capital of Sacramento until a new stadium is built in Las Vegas. The Sacramento stadium is LITERALLY a minor league ballpark.

Oakland was getting less than 7k fans for their home games. Oakland wanted to raise the lease from $1.5 million a year to $19 million a year. I don't blame them for leaving. At least in Sac, they will probably get more in the stands during home games.
