I think not just citizens in Great Britain/UK have these bad habits, but also around the world, which are commonly seen. For me, stressing about things is my most bad habit of all, due to slight autism and think/plan carefully before taking action, which affects my social skills. So I had to see the psychologist/therapist since this May, to improve it. And it goes well until this month, that I am feeling relaxed and not too stress time after time.😄

I guess a work around against the alarm clock issue: put your alarm clock as far away from your bed as you can in your room, so you have to really get up to reach it and turn it off, works for me
@kcchan85073 жыл бұрын
I remember I had mosquito net when I was a student in Taiwan. I put my alarm clock outside of it so that I need to lift it up before I can turn it off. It worked fine except one I was so disturbed that I reached my hand to the clock straight away and made thru a hole directly to turn it off. I was not aware of it until I woke up

Huge survivorship bias of the survey, Susie. People who took the survey are more likely to be the ones who don’t do exercises but wasting time on the internet while eating junk food - they complain about things without looking at themselves in the mirror, while others never talk but live a disciplined, healthy, happy life. :)

Those top 10 also apply to other country I though.... for exercise, maybe the people in uk already get enough exercise by tidying up the garden . For procrastinating : well, the only thing you can procrastinate are the thing that it is not necessary or urgent to do it , you don’t want to do it , but somehow you better to do it. For old generations or old people, if the stuff is not necessary maybe they don’t put any effort in it. So they have nothing to “procrastinate”

Spitting in public is the habit that annoys me the most where I come from ... unfortunately in lots of small cities in China it’s still quite commun for the elderly to do that. Now I think people are more careful about it thanks to Covid. But as I’m currently living in France, I find that quite a few French people also have this habit... mostly men.

Ever heard of monotone is the worst for any presentation? You just proved it wrong LOL I find that soothing somehow when you're talking even when you don't have all those "ups and downs" all the presenters claim one should have. Do you think that's because of the british accent or just your natural voice frequency? I think that would be an interesting thing to find out, perhaps a future video material hahhaha

So what about not taking shower at midnight or before going to bed? My English peers normally take it after the wake in the mornings, lol. We Cantonese think it as a really bad habit.
Agree on swearing and eating especially sweet stuff. Regarding procrastination, you should add 20 years to your estimated age of ppl who may not procrastinate (like over 60). Young ppl’s view of older generation starts at 40 and above. Totally understandable.
@stayseven3273 жыл бұрын
procrastinating! it is caused by thinking too much. Let's make things simple~
Picking nose in the car while driving lol, that's a good one, True it's by your own but still, it's in public, and they do it like no others can see lol

It's not just British bite their nails, I noticed there are many European do this habit while talking. I assume that is related with anxiety. You can try to pay more attention on your mental peace level while chewing your nails. Maybe you were not comfortable while sitting alone in the train, you try to distract your attention on your feeling when being alone.

I think in my country, one of the worst habits is being "excessively humble". (I.e. According to Chinese tradition, it's always polite to deny when people praise you, even if everyone knows it's true). Another bad habit is people with obsession of being slim 😅...
@bingandrew32663 жыл бұрын
haha you be wrong bub. If you've been to china lately, its spit on the street and spit anywhere and let's spread virus, in HK they even post signs not to talk too loud and spit. I don't think spitting is polite. You may be talking about Japan or Taiwan for being overly polite.

I'm not sure whether it is just my illusion or something. I think Susie's voice changes while speaking Mandarin, which sounds younger and lovelier. Perhaps, it is because English and Mandarin use different register of vocal cords.

Procrastinating! My God. I am having a business trip here in Wales. I've been here for a month and we discussed my flat and car things before I set off. There is a flat I'd like to rent but the door is broken, so we told the agent and landload that I am keen to move in as long as the door is fixed. A month passed, I am still waiting the f*** door and I can only stay with my colleauge (forturnately?! or I don't know how much money I need to pay for the hotel or b&b). Not to mention the car leasing. I thought leasing a car is a thing like in a day or something. Nope! Either a late reply or no response at all from leasing company. Finally have a car booked last week, but we need to take care of insurance stuffs ourselves and I don't know how long will it possibly take. Too many things... this is not criticising but seriously? How can Bris live with this?

Given your bad habits, thank you for making weekly videos!!! Also, it is not about the exercise; it is about the food. Although, night snacks are everywhere in most Asian countries, yet in equivalent, only fast food are 24 hours in western countries.
How about licking fingers before turning pages while reading books or newspaper? I was shocked when teacher returned my homework with gruesome, wetty pages .......
My badest habit is nose picking, I do it everywhere. Though it's difficult to me, but I must to try to break it.
